Jon Gruden would be my pick for the Tigers, in other words, and I’m sure there are plenty of boosters at LSU who wouldn’t mind that hire.

Stopped reading there. Everyone on the team will think he's racist because of that Michelin tires comment. Gruden is done.

One of the worst "professional" articles I have ever seen.

Well, that dude is terrible but you have to understand where they're coming from. Nick turns 70 in a few weeks. He's finally starting to look a little worn down. LSU's next hire will likely sign a contract that will be active when Nick retires. Their savior, Dabo, if fielding a pretty awful team this year.

IF LSU hits with this hire it could be huge for the next decade of LSU football.

I can’t imagine falling so far in life that I find myself writing sports articles for AL.com.

LSU replaced Saban with Les Miles and it replaced Miles with Ed Orgeron. High on charisma and low on integrity is the trend I’m seeing, so whoever’s the biggest Sleazeball Bozo All-Conference Creepy Hands Team MVP among the candidates probably has a pretty good shot at being the next guy to walk away with a multi-million dollar golden parachute funded by donations of the blindly faithful and obscenely rich.

So what's Mike Price up to these days?

The outgoing bozo had a better winning percentage at LSU than any Alabama head coach not named Bear Bryant or Nick Saban.

There is a lot of truth in that article, despite all the insults. But LSU fans will not admit it. The good ole boys run the entire university.

LSU’s culture of toxic politics and tolerance for sideshow shenanigans will always hold the football team back.

The label of "disgraceful" without regard to the message and its basis should make it required reading for TD. Please pin it!

And the quote is my favorite accurate statement of them all. Get that part right, and the sky is the limit.

Keep in mind a fact about writers. These were and are the goobers that never played organized sports, were picked on, etc etc. It is not shocking that these now "adults" are effeminates that want to do away with traditional manliness. They're no different than a writer for E! Or the National Enquirer.

LSU can win NCs even with "bozos" coaching them, ergo LSU > Bama

Oh, I think the article is spot on but let’s not act like Satan is some sort of saint.

ETA: and acting like bama is a bastion of ethics and principle

Author is a Saban worshiper who literally wrote a book about how great Saban is, so the vitriol makes sense. Despite the author’s myopic assumptions, there are nonetheless some valid points; LSU has undeniably hired a couple of rodeo clowns since Saban left. Also:

quote:

Fear the Tigers if they empower a steady leader to run that program because LSU doesn’t need a splashy hire to win

Didn’t the Gumps hire a coach caught up in a prostitution scandal? At least O wasn’t paying for it….
