You sure you’re not thinking about fox?

No, Dish dropped ESPN for a period of time back in October of last year. Disney/ESPN was asking for a 1 BILLION DOLLAR increase on their contact renewal with Dish.

Here in Acadiana it is CBS, but same deal, DirectTV isn't broadcasting it anymore. They will, however, in 2 weeks once enough pressure is applied to both sides. I just don't understand why they don't do it before they black it out.

In Shreveport area, no fox channel for 10 months. We lost NBC. I canceled them.

OTA is total trash since the move to digital. We live 50 miles from the towers and have a Channel Master attic antenna w amplifier. Everything comes through great... from Lafayette. ABC is by far the worst, most days unable to get a picture at all. We had the same issues ~30 miles from the towers in DFW but with ABC and CBS. And ftr, indoor antennas are a complete waste of time.

Re: DirectTV, I am certainly no fan but this isn't their fault - there is zero reason local channels should not be free to stream, much less charging fees to carriers (which in turn, you pay for).

Because it doesn't black out until they've failed to reach an agreement on a new contract and the current contract expires.

I've seen the dicsussion about watching games, but I haven't seen anything about porting the games from Computer or Phone to a Smart TV using Bluetooth. I have Dish, but I have been able to log into the websites (ESPN, CBS, etc.) and watch the games thereby as an alternative to Dish. It is interesting to me that Dish only provides one channel (404 on mine) out of the four SECN available. I have had both Direct TV and Dish and will NEVER have Direct TV again. Dish is MUCH more user-friendly.

We have a long time before that happens and these deals always get done, so I think we’re good.

I have ATT U-verse and I haven’t had Fox for a year. Now I also don’t have NBC starting during the July 4th holiday.

Other way around, but yeah. Well I guess if ABC is next it will give us a reason to cut the cord finally.

I have a website I go to for all sports and I can't post it here because don't want to get banned. However, you can download iwebtv from app store and any websites that have a lot of pop-ups if you know what I mean, it blocks them all. Been using it faithfully for those websites for the last 5 years. BTW you can also stream it to chromcast or any smart TV or device or just watch it from your iPhone.

I record shows on ABC. This week I didn't get them, last week I did. The week before I didn't.

DirectTV is FUBAR.

I see a lot of recommendations for very cheap streaming services, other than YouTube, Hulu, etc. I’d guess most on TD would need these sports channels at a minimum:

All ESPN Channels including SEC
Fox Sports
All local/network channels

Lagniappe would be CBS Sports and NFL Channel.

Do these IPTV or whatever the hell they are include these channels?

Thats dumb. In this day and age, any basic coax cable service is plenty to stream over.
