For starters, it shortens the practice week.

Was ok with it except at that dump of a stadium in Little Rock

Always seemed like we were coming off a tough game against Bama and they were coming off a bye week, plus it was a short week for us to play of Friday. Then you had the games in Little Rock where they seemed to play above their heads. Hell, they always seemed to play us like it was their Super Bowl. Add in the fact that it was usually cold AF if the game was in Fayetteville. Even though it wasn't day after Thanksgiving, remember 2014, the 17-0 game in freezing rain in Fayetteville. Our guys just wanted to get back on the bus and back to warm Baton Rouge

I don’t care now, but in college it really sucked trying to get back to Baton Rouge or Fayetteville for the game.

If it’s bad for LSU tailgating on Saturday, it’s bad for LSU football.

Yeah, it was kind of a family tradition for us to go to that game before they swapped that up for A&M. Of course that was also before we got season tickets in 2018.

Students were mostly gone and most of the time it was just a very dull atmosphere(sans 2011) against a team that was average to below average most years.

I guess as a CFB fan though it was nice getting to watch all the rivalry games on Saturday since we were done. Like getting to see the Kick 6 live because we had already played the day before.

Yes, absolutely. I liked having the LSU game being the featured game on a day. And you knew that was the case every year.

this was a game we’d go to as kids because we had the day off and tickets were cheap

It was way better than becoming Aggy’s obsession as a stand in for Texas

I remember going to one in I think 2001 or 2002 and it was freezing cold sitting with the Arkansas fans in ONE of the end zones. Those fans drove me nuts with that hog call they do. LSU stomped them, I believe Matt Jones was their QB at that game. I do miss going to those Friday home games.
