If the PAC-10 has an undefeated team (USC)

and the Big 12 has an undfeated team (OK)

and the SEC has an undefeated team (LSU)

doesn't the fact that tOSU got into the BCS two years in a row (in a losing effort) guarantee that LSU gets to claim its spot as one of the two teams? Of course it helps that the defending natl champ is still undefeated.

Who gets left out USC, weak conf?

or OK, because we've been there, done that?

I think OU ends up on the short end. OU has had trouble in big games, and the last time they played both of us they lost. The media would want the LSU vs USC match-up.

You can't spell douches without OU.

Nobody wants to see the chokers of college football, that is Oklahoma.

We will get screwed if OU and USC and LSU all go undefeated.

Unless we blow out Georgia, and/or Florida, and/or the SEC champ. team.

But doubt we will be blowing the opponent out in any of those 3 games.

If that happens it SHOULD be Big-12 vs. SEC. That will be quite an accomplishment in either conference this year. Sadly, USC WILL get in if they go undefeated. Big-12 or SEC get left out.

That thought is enough to get me all hot and bothered.

Dude, NO WAY will they not let the Defending National Champions play in the big game if we go undefeated! It would be a national outcry! Thats just stupid!

IF OU goes undefeated, they'll be there for sure. Their OOC schedule will give them a tie break over most SEC schools, especially if its LSU.

You might have an argument if you are talking SEC, but if LSU goes undefeated THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY WE ARE LEFT OUT.

Would you people actually listen to the comments of the folks voting rather than just going with the same old "MEDIA HATES LSU AND LOVES USC" mantra?

Not like you have to look far, people posted on here examples of people from ESPN questioning on it being wrong in retrospect for LSU to not have gotten the #1 preseason ranking. By the logic you guys are applying, LSU shouldn't have gone to the national champ last year, USC should have gone. And yet we did.

If push comes to shove, at the end of the year the pollsters will move LSU up from 3 if needed. And that is assuming they don't do that anyway if we come out of UGA undefeated.

The country wants to see USC play an SEC team...if there is a chance that can happen, it will happen.

But LSU's conference schedule blows OU's out of the water. True, they play Texas and Mizzou, but LSU would have to have beaten Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Alabama...all of whom would've been ranked in the top 10 when we played them. Plus we'd have won the SECCG, beating either UF or UGA again. No way we get left out if we do that.

I kinda hope this does happen and someone does get left out again. I just hope its not us. Then maybe they'll finally change this bullshite system we have now.

Like I said before, there is no way they will not let the National Champs defend their national championship. Have you looked at the OU schedule? Our conference schedule will atleast put us even with OU and their OOC schedule.

The odds of this happening are not very good.

Too much parity in this damn strong conference!

Just so we don't go back to the old system, which would have us all in different bowl games, USC in Rose Bowl against a Big 10 cupcake, OU in the Fiesta, and LSU in the Sugar. The system's not perfect, but it is better than what we had before and, unfortunately, I don't see a playoff coming any time soon.

It's gotta be USC-LSU. Everyone, including coaches and media, would want to see that one. You have got to believe that they would make it happen if LSU and USC go undefeated regardless of who else is undefeated too.

I would enjoy witnessing the meltdown here in Oklahoma if that did happen

I wonder what lsumatt has to say about this. there is one team from the PAC10 ranked in the top 25; the Mountain West is undefeated vs the PAC10; UVA is terrible; and while OSU will be ranked at year end they could very likely be out of the top 10 maybe around 15. That leaves USC having had played ONE ranked team all year. Compare that resume to any SEC or BIG12 team. The computers may have been diminished but they ain't gone all together and plus i'm not so sure some pollsters start to take a hard look at their resume and change their votes.
