Soon basically, the "building championships" binder was all a lie.... ?

See, this is where I take issue with the O bashing - hell, nobody knows the personnel weaknesses on the team better than he does - in my opinion. This isn't the guy's first rodeo and no one questions his ability to evaluate talent and recruit.

He might have seen this looming hole on both lines this year and the binder could have been a solid rebuilding plan. And that might be his reason for not having championship expectations - for 2017. Doesn't mean he never expects or not even soon.

Let's all take some deep breaths. We have a game against Syracuse - a chance to get some things right against a decent opponent before things really get ugly on the schedule.

However, there are definitely numerous fans who love O purely he's from Louisiana and he's one of them and he says all the right things.

But I don't think those were the folks calling for Les' head, though. That's what I'm saying. Those folks may have lost their taste for Miles' brand of football, but by and large they weren't calling for his head back in 2005 and so forth.

Les' going mid-season was driven by the negas - you don't abort firing the guy, to then fire him 6 games later, mid-season - and you definitely don't do that to a 77% winner, NC winning coach - UNLESS you are damned sure your hire is a homerun.

And you absolutely don't do it to replace him with his own RC/DL coach - who has no record of success other than as an interim head coach, recruiter and position coach.

We did all of those things. The negas are reaping what they sowed (ETA: No - that's not right - we're ALL reaping what the negas sowed). And if you fire O now, you just reduce us to the football equivalent of Guatemala - hire a coach for one game. If he wins, he keeps the job. If he loses, he's fired.

If it wasn't such an obscene image, it would be laughable.

Take an issue with with it then, I certainly take an issue with a 30 point loss to Mississippi State, and following it up by saying this team didn't have championship goals in the first place...

Cmon bruh, I mean me personally, even if its unrealistic expectations, so be it, but I go into every football season not just thinking, but believing we are the best team in the nation with a legitimate shot at winning it all.

I'm sure 99% of our fan base thinks the same exact way,
I feel like the bashing of COE, is WELL warranted

Sometimes adults can be told the truth, IMHO. In a certain model of the universe, they deserve to be told the truth as a sign of respect.

And if I were coaching for you, I would tell you the truth. You going to fire a cat for telling the truth?

I'm as critical of Saturday night's performance as anyone - check my posts, baw. But, to bash him for this specific point (even though I admit it's bad optics) - there might be some very good reasons - hell, the binders might have a 3-year plan, including players, coaches, improvements, policies to fix all the problems that are wrong.

We cannot let our desire for immediate gratification cloud the issue that the team has fundamental problems if we have so many OL and WRs leaving offseason the past 2 years we have a problem. The issue that Malone and Weathersby are not only our best tackles, they're our only tackles.

That Tolliver looks worse every snap, after looking great as a young player. That Guice is clearly not 100% and the entire offense is anchored off his being "the man" - that we have a kid that couldn't see the field at Purdue starting at QB for the second season.

Those problems are not solved by hiring a coordinator and using pre-snap motion, baws. That's the cold, hard, brutal, unpleasant truth on this Monday.

What has happened is the "posis" (I'm a certified positiger, BTW) were, "Well, O's the guy. We'll see."

Really? I would have never guessed it from the five paragraphs of stupidity that followed the quote you cited.

And, yes, I wanted Miles gone because it starts the ride back up. If Orgeron succeeds, LSU succeeds. If Orgeron fails, we get rid of him and Alleva (the only sane statement you made in those five paragraphs of jibberish you wrote). Either way, we're not stuck in the morass of 1970s Big Ten football with a guy whose last five years of coaching was really about just collecting paychecks.

That coach and his teams expected to win championships. Every single year. Those were the goals set, every year.

And you wanted the team to lose to get him gone, correct?

And you wanted him gone at any cost, and that cost includes Orgeron, correct?

God, I hope you're right and I was wrong.

It's OK. I'm sure the cajun salesman will see the error in his comments and retract. Like he did with the whole pro style vs spread offense fiasco. That's what good salesmen do. Tell you what you want to hear.
