I got into this arguement with a friend of mine. I don't think they ran it up, but my friend says he did. What say you?

Your friend needs to wake up and not be so biased. They didn't runup the score. Honestly, if you are a sec team and are expected to have a chance ot win, you deserve that if you play so bad.

Not at all, all they did was hand the ball off. We just didnt have a prayer in the world at stopping them

There is no such thing as "running up the score." It's called a statement game. The purpose of a defense is to stop the offense. I don't care if TT was throwing with two minutes left and up by 30, your D has to make plays.

At that point I would have taken him out strictly to be safe from injuries. There's no such thing as running up the score anymore. At the end of the year you have the Georgia's of the world screaming "we beat so and so by 20 and you beat them by 14 so we're better". Does it make any sense? Hell no, but that's just how it is.
