This is stupid, Jim made it up before I can even remember. I've had tickets since '91 and that joke was old then.

FYI, there are a ton of minor league parks that are adjacent to railroad lines. It's a very old broadcaster's joke.
The train running through the outfield joke in Brewster's Millions is based on the numerous parks that are built next to train lines and train stations.
Growing up, we played little league in Lafayette at the Southern Pacific Lot (next to the train depot). The left field line was parallel with the train tracks.

The new box is kind of far away from the tracks. At the old box the tracks seemed like they went under the grandstand and that thing would rattle when the train rolled by.
