Sauce (I know) says Joubert had his scholarship pulled the day after the portal closed and is paying out of pocket now for school because if he transfers he loses eligibility. Any truth to this?

Baseball does not generally give full scholarships. If he had any money, it probably was not much.

But I have no idea about his personal situation.

He would have been paying out of pocket anyway, no one is getting 100%.

He doesn't. He can't go D1 to D1 and be eligible at semester break. I'm not certain about D2. He would be eligible at NAIA or D3 from what I've read.

He transferred in from JUCO. He hasn't exhausted his one time transfer because he went from Nicholls to Delgado to LSU.

All of this is moot, he's not going anywhere right now.

He may not see the field this year with all the studs Jay brought in.

He will get platoon at bats. We're not going to have a strict line up outside of a few players.

Doubt he's worried about the costs if true. LSU will take care of their own and yeah, I'd imagine NIL comes into play here.

Spring sports: Dec. 1-15, or a 45-day window beginning the day after selections are made in the sport. The legislation also establishes exceptions to the new windows for student-athletes who experience head coach changes or have athletics aid reduced, canceled or not renewed.

No clue on the first part rumors. But by rule, you can transfer in baseball if your scholarship is pulled or reduced outside of the portal window.

Baseball is ruthless with scholarship money, that being said, fricking over a player is generally a bad idea if you’re going to then later rely on that player.

I also Doubt the scholarship ship situation was not fully established before the semester

I think you get a waiver if the staff rails you on your aid money. He could go anywhere he wants if they cut his funds.
