Haven’t seen a report on his recovery from the A&M hit.

Why wouldn't he be with the team? If eligible and injured he still gets to enjoy the benefits of a TEAM bowl trip. This is not regular season with a limit on travel roster sizes in the league.

This isn’t always true. Some players with season ending injuries stay home and rehab.
