Diarse had 13 catches last year at LSU.
TCU starts 4 WR, and Diarse is in the two-deep, meaning he's somewhere between 5th and 8th on the WR rotation.
Last year TCU's #5 through 8 WRs caught 19, 14, 10, and 11 passes.
Not necessarily a slam dunk he catches a lot more passes at TCU this year than he would have if he had stayed with LSU.

One way or the other, Diarse had a better opportunity at TCU and that's what he saw. He saw a team with a base 4-WR set that throws the ball a lot more. Unfortunate for him to not get a starting role, but it's still early on.

Diarse will play a lot at WR and will be on every special teams unit, that will get him an NFL opportunity.

I hope he has success.

He could be the 4th WR based on that depth chart......
I'll bet my life savings he will catch more passes at TCU than he has at LSU in any season, unless he gets hurt.
TCU's
5-6-7-8 guys in 2015 caught:
20,16,16,16,18
2014:
32,19,14,17,14
Diarse caught 8 passes in two games (4 against Arkansas and 4 against Texas tech) in 2015.
He could catch 3 passes a game at TCU and that would be more catches than his entire career at LSU, which is 28.

Second team WR at TCU may have 50 balls tossed his way over the course of the season.

Last year Boykin to Doctson was pretty much LSU's Rohan to Reed until he got injured. In his first 9 games he had 78 receptions (he was hurt in the 10th), and the second leading WR had 32. That's when guys started to step up. The 3rd leading WR at the time had 24 receptions in 9 games, yet finished with 23 receptions in the last 4 and 2nd in receptions on the team.
Plus, Kenny Hill does not run nearly as much as Boykin so expect them to throw it a lot more.

Lol should have stayed
Also, you do realize that TCU passed the ball more than twice as much as LSU last season, right? Their backup WRs could very well have more balls going their way than our starters.

They throw so much and play so many receiver, their number 7 receiver probably catches more passes than our number 3 receiver.
i would say our number 2

He has below average hands.. dropped a lot of very catchable balls last year. He will probably get a lot of use when they run the ball as a blocker and as mentioned probably on special teams.

If he's a graduated senior, why y'all think he's listed as a junior?

Jarvis Landry and the 3 other WRs in the NFL that run 4.68 say hi
Jerry Rice ran a 4.71... the man COULD catch though.

It is true that last season might have produced the most drops in LSU history in recent memory. The catch rate from last year was published somewhere, and you will see that Diarse had drops, but not anywhere near as many as the two leading WRs, although in those two's defense they had alot more targets.

Because he is a football junior. He redshirted already.

Thank you. Do you remember how to find the catch rate? I've watched the replays, but I can't find the exact numbers.
I shite you not, Harris would have 3-5 more TDs, 400+ more yardage and around a 58% completion rate if half of those drops didn't occur.

I hope he blows up at TCU, catches balls, wins games, and reaches every goal he sets. Not sure why people feel the need to bang on a kid who made great memorable blocks downfield, caught some balls and played his arse off at LSU. Best of luck to him.

Remember Paul Turner? 0 starts and 0 receptions at LSU. Transferred to La Tech. Had 87 receptions, 1171 yards, and 7 TDs in two seasons there. Looks like he might make the Eagles roster. I love hearing that it worked out well for both sides.

1. WR Paul Turner. The surprise offensive star of camp is an undrafted rookie who at the very least will find himself back on the practice squad should he not survive final cuts here or get picked up by another team. Everything he's done on the practice field he's been able to bring out into the preseason games with him. That's never a given for rookies. But this guy brings it.
