As a redzone threat according a couple of our players! Said hes jumping over DBs everyday in practice! Thought this was awesome news. I think we got the best Amite prospect as stated by Coach O!

Lee > other guy from Amite

Lee is built like a linebacker and he can jump through the roof. Can't wait to see this kid play

Good to hear.
It's funny; listening to Jeff Palermo in a radio interview the other day, he sounded like he was having a hard time naming viable candidates for targets, outside of Jefferson, Chase and Marshall. I think we have plenty of candidates.
He said Trey Palmer has looked impressive, but he's very passive in voicing any sort of expectation out of him or anyone else. And that seems to be the way just about every interview goes with him.
Which kind of defeats the purpose of giving an interview. Anyone can get on the radio and say "well these are the names of our players, and they'll play and do things, and some look good. Some might be good right away, or they might be good later"... What is the value in that sort of commentary? I'm not asking for guarantees, but how about some educated guesses, based on personal observation, and speaking with coaches? "I don't know, but maybe; I guess we'll find out" is boring radio.

SIAP but is lee working at WR/TE or both? (flex TE like Sullivan?)
Posted on 8/20/19 at 9:08 am to higgins
Both and Racey McMath is a stud too!

Gotta get this guy on the field. Will be the go to short yardage and red zone. Work him in at TE on passing plays if nothing less. Gonna be a monster for us

WR for now from what I have heard

whats the point of even bringing this up? how about we just collectively agree to talk about players on THIS TEAM.

Lee is going to be a star at LSU. He's so big and physical but athletic at the same time. He was very impressive when I watched him in person last year. Reminds me of Anquan Boldin.

He’s freakin huge. Imagine what he will look like by the time he does an NFL combine. We got the best 2 players from Tangipahoa last year .

DeVonta is definitely one of my favorite WR recruits in a long time.

Weren't they projecting him long term as a safety?
Posted on 8/20/19 at 6:35 pm to Ponchy Tiger
yeah but chase also said he needs to learn the plays if he wants to get on the field

I think Devonta will be an OLB by the time he leaves

I said this the day he committed.

I think he's the perfect candidate to take over Jacoby Stevens position after he gets drafted. A hybrid Safety/Linebacker who can cover or get in the backfield.
