This kid just placed himself in the 'Dog House' with the coaches. He needs to concentrate on catching the ball period. Fans need to stop giving this guy excuses. Every ball thrown his way will not be perfect; he is supposed to be the most talented among all the TEs. If he does not back up his comments, Jacory Washington and Jeter will move ahead of him on the depth chart this spring. Thus far, D. Smith has been a disappointment. If he wants more playing time, then he needs to work on his fundamentals as many other players to help our struggling QBs. His comments should have remained in-house. Yes, we are all frustrated, but the team does not need this BS.

DeSean can take pride that he has more drops than J.J. Watt though.

Not sure if serious but I'll point out our TE's did have 8 catches over the season. So if DeSean wants some of the action he'll just have to put in some extra work. Or maybe our TE recruiting is just as bad as our QB recruiting has been.

"Any time you have a position used to block and he can also receive the ball it makes a tremendous difference in your attack," LSU coach Les Miles said. "It's another quality receiver. DeSean Smith and Jacory Washington are guys we will use in the fall."

And some people become outraged at the suggestion that Les might not be honest with recruits when he tells them he will be here next year.

You can hear sounds on a message board, even age specific nuances?? You're talents are being wasted here.

Also, people (esp athletes) constantly telling everyone anything that comes to their head -via twitter- isn't very awesome to plenty of people. ESPN relies on it as entertainment, but those of us who have our own life are not as thrilled.

Les Miles has clearly lost control of the twitter accounts of the LSU TE group.

I cringe when LSU signs a TE recruit.

I've been told Desean isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. First he signs with LSU as a TE, then tweets this BS. Point proven...
