A bright spot on the offense and special teams this year has been watching the play of #5. He gives as much effort on every play as man can give. Runs like a Tasmanian Devil in a pinball machine.

I think Guice has better vision than fournette. He isn't as physically gifted, but he seems to see the wholes better and make the right cutbacks. They are both going to be monsters next year.

He channeled his inner Walter Peyton on that return.

Pure Sweetness.

He reminds me a lot of Mathieu - in terms of his desire to not give up.

I think that initial run he made woke these guys up and it became infectious. The team seemed to kick it into gear after that.

What I like about him is he runs very hard and hardly ever goes down on first contact.

The A&M fan behind us kept yelling "just go after number seven! He's their whole offense!" so when Guice busted that TD I winked and said how about number 5?

He does remind me of Mathieu with his effort. If our whole offense played with his effort, im not so sure we lose 3 games this year. He is bigger than he looks and runs with a lot of power. Their wont be much of drop off when its his turn.

It will be an unpopular opinion, but I completely agree. Fournette is great when the hole is in front of him and he can get through to the second level. When the hole isn't there he doesn't really show a great ability to cut back to the open space.

Guice can't square up and run over people like Fournette. However, he is very shifty in tight spaces and really is tougher to bring down than Fournette. Fournette is that rare combo of power and speed. Guice has better balance and a defender has to really square him up to bring him down one-on-one.

I don't know why we don't run the play he scored on Saturday more often. He runs on a sweep and LF7 runs toward the middle. Either the Defense has to come up to stop Fournette or motion with line backers to stop a sweeping Guice. Most likely they split their attention and whoever gets the ball gets a minimum of 6 or 7 yards. Add a wrinkle where harris throws to a quick pass to a WR on the side opposite of the sweep and profit! It will look something like Arkansas circa 2007 with their running attack.

Its all a wet dream... Remember the USC game? Guice didn't get a meaningful snap after until Saturday. Goes to show how pitiful our offense is to have a guy like that on the sideline all game.

He might be more physically gifted than Fournette, imo.

I don't know for sure, but he looks a lot stronger and has a better lower center of gravity when he runs. Just an observation. I'm not trying to knock on Fournette. Just giving my take.

If you swapped RBs on that play (with defense reaction being equal) LF would've scored, too.

Of course, defense will cue on LF7, world without end, amen.

But on the return?

Pure DG.
