What's the consensus here? I think he's been good not great, but they rarely throw to him.

I also see posts saying he's "not the answer" and needs to be benched.

Which is it?

He's actually done well. He's been real close to making some big plays or locking his side down.

This is where i fall. I think he's doing well.

The few plays he came out and #22 (I think it's Chestnut) came in they went right at him.

Stamps is not as talented as Harris.

I think he’s doing fine. He’s certainly not a liability. Just wait until he makes an interception, you’ll have a handful of people saying he should wear 7! Lol

Not saying he is. But still want to see what he’s got, when he’s ready.

He’s good not great, but there’s a considerable drop off from him to the next corner (Alexander and sometimes chesnut) which is why the other corner is always targeted. Makes me think Welch is in the doghouse…they even played the freshman stamps before him.

He is fine.

But we didn’t bring him in to be “fine”.

He needs to be elite. And he showed that at A&M last year.

Anybody that says he needs to be benched is a moron.

I'll tell you the problem here

It's BK and House's insistence on using a complex scheme that nobody is comfortable in. They refuse to adjust it to player personnel strengths like Aranda would do.

Harris is athletic and easily the most talented. He's not a zone CB. He's a man CB. But LSU recruited in the portal guys who are not talented enough to play man.

That's your problem. We can't get guys like Womack on the field who's clearly extremely talented or find a position for Perkins because BK and House insist on forcing the square peg in round hole.

House doesn't make adjustments in games, he doesn't adjust his scheme, and he gets too conservative especially on mobile QBs allowing lapses in coverage because they have all day to throw. He doesn't attack enough.

There's your problem. Both BK and House suck at recruiting and they shite the bed on recruiting for the scheme too. That's his board's HC guru for them who's an upgrade over Miles and Orgeron but not saying much else.

I think he’s been solid. He does seem to have a few plays each game that make you say wtf though. For example the screen that he ran outside towards the sideline and the receiver was running inside. Also the TD that he gave up where he also committed PI.

Chestnut get in perfect position … and then can’t make the play. He ain’t playing against Boston College anymore.

To add on to this, it makes no sense to run this type of complex scheme that takes young players awhile to catch onto. It makes even less sense in the current culture of NCAA football where instant gratification is needed for top recruits or they just bolt to the portal.

It's an absolutely silly idea that House and BK are running with. It might also explain why their recruiting sucks on the defensive side of the ball as it's probably easy to negative recruit against.

Better than the alternatives. I am glad we have him, at least for the moment.

All I know is he seems to be very close at getting a taunting unsportsmanlike conduct penalty when he stands over opponents talking shite to them. Let your play speak for you and walk away from the risk of a 15 yard penalty.

He is far and away the best DB on the team.

Sure it’s a low bar but second place isn’t even close.
