what JD did this year was raw talent and high football IQ... I'll give Denbrock credit were its due because he schemed up some good plays this year.Ex: first play vs FSU

Its pretty nice to have a QB with the ability to bail you out of bad play calling with his ability to escape the pocket.

He's right you know.

Denbrook won't have another JD5 at ND.

JD was the beneficiary of a lot of talent, too. He had some of the most elite WR talent and a fantastic offensive line. JD could eat a snack back in the pocket on many plays.

Can both things be true that Denbrock did a good job and is a good coach as well as taking advantage of JD talent? The truth is in the middle.

No question.
You can say the same about Joe Brady and Joe Burrow. And Orgeron for that matter, although I give Orgeron credit for getting Burrow.

Of course he did
Just like Farve made Hallman a great coach lol
There really wasn't anything special about our offense other than 3 AA players
If Sloan takes over, nothing will change .
I personally would like more creativity in the offense since we no longer have JD doing all the creating.
Until we vastly improve our defense, nothing is going to really matter.

That was my first thought. I also thought of Brady and Burrow. But Denbrock does have extensive experience as a OC.

Its pretty nice for a QB to run 21 mph to escape a defense because he can't make pre-snap reads.

It takes both talent and scheme. He maximized the talent he had and that's the most we can ask.

Threads of this ilk really shows which posters have played organized sports at a level above peewee league and which have not.

It is a collaborative effort between players and coaches, both are instrumental in the successes achieved on the field.

But now is he leaving because he doesn’t have the same confidence in Nuss…

Can go both ways

LSU had a ton of talent across the board, on offense. He’s a good OC, but he also benefited from the talent. He’s not going to have that luxury at ND. That luxury is exactly why BK left ND, for LSU.

Is he the same guy who refuses to lineup behind center on the 1 and cost us a few TDs early in the season? If so he's not infallible. We can find someone who can do the same level of work.

He got Desmond Ritter an NFL starting gig. That’s a small miracle. Let’s quit downplaying his ability because he’s leaving. Good Luck to him.
