Hopefully no residual mental stuff when he returns. Going to have to wear a helmet piece like Terry Steinbach.

Luke Johnson Tweets
Update on Deichmann from CPM: they think he has facial fractures, but he's seeing a specialist Monday to determine severity.
Until he sees the doctor, LSU cannot provide a timeframe for how long he may be out.

Breaux and Watson will be getting an early shot. Adams will likely DH with Coomes and Romero to see who takes Bryce J's spot. If This gives Beau a better hold on LF, you can bet PM will want a defensive guy in RF. It's the toughest OF spot at the box between the wind and sun.

Hopefully he will be back to get a game or two in before SEC play

Nooo! I wanted him to hit 25 dingers this season.

This sucks but hopefully this gives Adams a shot. Every time I've been out for a practice I've thought he has done very well.

K-Rob is like... You can miss time for getting hit in the face? What the hell, mom.

Hearing his face is broken in 3 places. Getting a plate put in and surgery is set. A fricking blow.
It is, no doubt. But the healing process for an injury like that isn't as long as you might think. I'd say 5-6 weeks based on experience.

Damn, 2 punches right to the gut before the season even freaking starts.
I still have hope this will be a great year, but it's starting off as if we're cursed or some shite.

I had a high school teammate have the side of his face caved in by a baseball. He was back in just a few weeks, but he hit and played in the field wearinc a helmet with a clear face guard for the entire season.

I remember the 1st baseman from Florida (Guthrie?) wearing a clear face guard two years ago. Similar situation.

I had a similar injury in high school. I was hit in the face with an 85 mph pitch and broke bones in my face. Very painful and a lot of swelling. Lora tabs were the only thing that helped for weeks. I think he will be out awhile. There is also a mental adjustment. I was a little jittery when I finally did get back to the plate.

If Fredericks control issues are that bad that he is walking 3-4 guys per intrasquad and hitting guys in the face they need to cut his arse.
