Good comparison ATL.. Francois and Louis. I had high hopes for both. Other than the two pass breakups against NC in 2010 at the end of the game(which saved the win)Francois never seemed to make a play. Lamar has stats every game, but I never notice him in games. He still has time. Debo looks likes missile out there. My guess is he doesn't maintain gap integrity at times.

Welter did get extra amounts of high fives and extra pile-ons after the plays . We need to get some helmet stickers for that.

He did have a nice sack on their goal-line(near safety) forcing a fumble which led to an easy TD.

dude missed the Qb in the endzone. Qb tripped and fumbled before hitting the ground.

What jumped out to me was the sheer number of players we rotated in on the dline.

DT we played Thomas, Lacouture, Godchaux, Neal, Bain, Herron, and Gilmore. DE we played Hunter, Rasco, Bower, Maclin, Clark, and Teuhema.

That is a total of 13 guys who played on the dline last night. Talk about depth....we have it.

Hunter had a great game. My fear with him though is he dives inside and doesn't protect his edge, good teams will expose that. On a few plays though we stunt the ILB to his edge so he can burst inside, that's pretty cool IMO.

Beckwith was all over the place.

There was something strange at MLB last night. Beckwith played a lot early and Welter played 4th qtr. Feist played also. Garrett did not play at all.

Chavis plays the 2nd and 3rd string players early in games against the cupcakes. They don't play as a unit, but they get a lot of time regardless of what the offense is doing. I saw Welter and Beckwith were playing at the same time on a number of plays. Welter did start the game.

When Welter blitzes he runs straight into a lineman every time. He made it through on a blitz last night one time and I think he paused for a sec because it's the first time he's been in the back field and didn't know what to do.
