TLDR; Keep Perkins as spy, confuse Milroe with different fronts, prevent the deep ball

Milroe isn’t the worst QB. He’s obviously a talented rusher and can take advantage of coverage break downs when scrambling out of the pocket. Throws a pretty accurate deep ball.

Let’s be honest though. This is the 4th/5th best QB LSU would have played thus far in the season. The offensive line is suspect. But, I do believe this will be one of the top WR units LSU has faced as well.

Essentially, I would force Milroe to beat you with intermediate throws in the middle of the field. Hopefully, House comes up with exotic blitzes and fronts and keeps Perkins as a spy just like he was used against Bryce Young last year.

Second I would keep two high safeties and primarily play zone. I think the CBs playing off the ball may be beneficial to keep guys like Bond and Burton in front of them to prevent big plays down field. Especially if Zy is out for the game. Don’t know if guys like Denver and Duce could keep up man-to-man if they are even going to end up playing.

Lastly, BK or someone needs to be in the ref’s ear about Bama’s constant holding. They have to send tape of that egregious tackle the RT made yesterday against Tennessees defensive end on the TD catch.

If LSU can hold Bama to 31 or less, I think they can win. It’ll be very close..

He’s probably 4th behind Travis, Cook, and Dart

Roll people up to the Los. Stop run and man press blitz. Make him have to make
Quick decisions. Cover long enough to sack him or alter throws. I’d throw in some zone blitzes also

Just go for it and keep blitzing like crazed Kamikazes.

The defense that let Ole Miss score 55 points and let Missouri score at will until the very end is not going to hold Bama to 31 or less. Bama will score at will and the team that wins will be the last one with the football.

See I take KJ slightly over Milroe. Harder to bring down. Better decision making imo

I disagree. Don’t think this is the same defense. Obviously, this depends on Zy’s health as well

Don’t give him a wide open long ball. If the defense tackles the ball well. LSU wins this game by ten points.

Bama is going to attack our ends & that's a scary thought because containment there has been terrible.

Milroe isn't accurate in the short to intermediate game. His best throws are the deep ball and he's always looking for the big play. We need to play 2 high safety's and test his patience. We have to trust the front 7 to do enough against their run game. If we have to bring an extra man down to stop the run, we'll be in trouble. We can score 35 on Bama, I just don't know if we can hold them under 35.

Get lots of pressure. Pressure seems to rattle him a lot.

Put Perkins on the right end and tell him to see how many of Milroe’s teeth he can knock out.

Statistically Milroe has been better than KJ this year and KJ has even played and extra game compared to Milroe. Arkansas offense is awful.

yep keep the passes short to medium with max pressure. Two safeties over the top and WE HAVE TOO MAKE THE TACKLES!!!!

If we are there and just miss tackles like in the games with Arkansas, Ole Miss, FL st. we lose no matter what.

Right u R, just blitz the sht out of him, because if you miss with a slow 4 man rush, our DBs can’t hold their WRs tight long enough if he scrambles. Saban will preach our Zone D all week, so House needs to change it up and send the dogs early and often, hopefully we get the lead and then run the zone 2nd half.

2 things. 1st, Ole Miss offense and Missouri's offense are both superior to Bama's offense. 2nd, our defense was lacking talent, lost in schemes and couldnt tackle. It seems we have corrected tackling and knowledge of scheme and this game will show how far we have improved there. I think we can hold Bama to 31-38. I also think our offense will score anywhere from 31-45. It should be a good game.

Edited to add that Missouri's offense which is scoring in 30s on almost everyone scored 39 on us so keeping that Bama offense to 31 isnt out of the question.
