I don't want to jump ahead guys, but our defense could very well wreck Bama's O.

The interior of the D-Line has been stellar and we have a solid rotation going. Suprisingly the weakness of their O-Line has been the tackles. The Defensive ends have been causing havoc especially Neal.

Beckwith knows this is his money game and will be prepared to meet Henry in the hole all night .

Outside of him their main weapons are Stewart and Ridley. I have full confidence in White and Toliver to man up and force Coker to make tough throws. Debo, Mills, Adams, and Thomas are physical, and fast enough to cover Howard and I expect those 4 to fly over the field and make plays. Clean up special teams and no turnovers I'm 100% confident we win this game.

It's Bama it will be tough and a nail bitter like always, but I feel better about this one compared to past years. No I'm not worried about the offense at all.

I'm so sorry for the accidental downvote. Good post.

I agree, but the game is two weeks away. They can fix a lot of stuff.

If the game were this weekend I bet we would win by 3 TD's. Coming off a bye week is like a brand new slate. It's the backend of the season and anything can happen.

Our defensive gameplan will be almost identical to Bama's. Stop Henry and make Coker throw it a ton.

Someone posted not long ago that you can refresh the page, then up vote, and your accidental down vote goes away. It works.

I tested the theory on your post and it worked.

This is partially what makes me nervous. That kid Mulaney they usually have in the slot is the one to watch out for. Tolliver and White's cover will likely be superb, forcing Coker to check down to Mulaney, who will likely be covered by Duane Thomas. I think a lot will depend on that matchup.

As for special teams, if we can somehow fire BDP between now and 11/7, I think that would be a major morale booster for the team.

bama's O-line has been awful in pass protection thus far. Remember how bad ours looked against Syracuse? That was theirs vs Tennessee. The difference is, we've gotten much, much better in pass protection, whereas they just appear incapable. So one of the big keys will be getting some sacks, setting up looong 2nd and/or 3rd downs, and forcing them into predictable play calling.

The only thing i doubt in this game is our secondary. If we can clean up the special teams and get a couple of interceptions from coker, i think we have the game won without a doubt. Our d line will show no mercy

In games like this, breaking trends and running stuff that's out of character can have an outsized impact. There will be a handful of "special" calls on both sides of the ball for both teams, and the hit/miss ratio on those calls might be the difference.

Honestly, I think it comes down to BH continuing to make wise decisions with the ball in his hands and LSU's decided edge at the PK position. If BH remains INT-free, keeps getting more in sync with his receivers (that 1st TD pass to Dupree was a thing of beauty) AND uses his legs to make plays when the yards are there to do so, then---in addition to all of the other aspects of the game---LSU should win.

Yeah cool. I changed it. Have an up vote (after a down vote).

What happened to Mills?

There are a few things that concern me:
1) Not tackling Coker when we are in position to sack him and he breaks loose for a first down or a long pass play.
2) Crossing patterns.
3) Coverage break downs.
4) Covering Drake when he comes out of the backfield.

If we can limit the damage on these things, and special teams hold up, we should win.

I agree with this, even though I have a severe hope we just go in and completely obliterate them. It's going to be a great game either way.

Let's take Bama out of the Natty conversation and put ourselves on top of the SEC for good.

Not sure why this is your #1 concern. Is Coker that elusive?

He is pretty fast and elusive not Harris like but he has some wheels and can get loose.

What? All you did were talk about how awesome all of our players were. Who would that analysis not match up well against?

I agree. I'm so sick of hearing about bama's NFL caliber front 7.
They are sleeping on LSU's oline. To me that's a wash.

Of course I talked up our defense, but I spoke of how Bama has limited weapons, how our defense matches up well to neutralize them and expose some of their weaknesses.
