Dee Anderson, Jazz Ferguson starting WR's, per Advocate?

Did anybody else notice that buried in the Sunday Advocate's stories about the Auburn game was a mention that Dee Anderson and Jazz Ferguson were listed as the starting wideouts for the game? Don't remember them playing....message being sent to other receivers?
If it weren't for the "other developing news" coming later that day, this might've been a 10-page thread of speculation, Dupre and Dural-bashing, etc...
Sorry if already discussed briefly before buried by the bazillion pages of "Miles fired" threads that hit the fan that PM.

Which means it was just a running play and code for them coming in.

On Monday Jazz tweeted this: "Boy do we have a surprise for y'all."

I guess we'll see.

They were in on the first play because they are the blocking receivers.
Dee Anderson has been in on 1 pass play all year.

Dude--Were you actually in Stadium dorm in '72? So was I, in West (Yak!) Stadium in the fall of 1972.
I guess it's a badge of honor these days!

Yep. NEZ, 3rd floor right above the locker-room door...

As bad as West was (1st floor, middle), North was worse!

Hopefully this trend stops now. It blows my mind how our coaches think that putting in certain receivers for a running play is a good idea.

North '79, South 80 here. Fond memories. How did we live without AC back in those days?

SS '83-'85.
Love telling my children that dad "lived" in TS. Just used a fan for the heat. Obviously, the windows were left open; remember there were times when the humidity would wet all my papers.
I could handle heat. But I think the rule was that facilities wouldn't turn the heat on until there was to e 3 consecutive days with lows in the 50's.

I would love to see both of them get some chances in the passing game. Chark is our #1, and Dural has been good but made some bad mental errors that cost us big time at auburn. Nothing against Dupre; I hope he turns it around.

This is going to be real fun!

It was to make it so obvious we were running the ball they just might think it was a pass.

I was hoping for some Drake Davis

If the real reason is to put them in on a running play that would be really stupid. Tip off the play big time.
Why not just spread your receivers out as far as possible and take the defensive man guarding them out of the play?

This topic deserves its own thread. I'm sure many of us here would love to hear some of the old stories.
