i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the color commentator got his job by name-dropping.

Sure, they loved LSU but they spent more time blowing us than they did talking about the game.

I get it, we are close to the Miss River but talk about that bad check swing call or the Alex Edward play at first base when he was safe, not LSU.

He sure did like to drop in their from time to time that he was a former major league scout...not sure how the hell that happened.

I doubt ESPN really wanted to open-up the checkbook on top-notch commentators for this event.

but they didn't even call Lyn Rollins and Ronnie Rantz...

Most aggravating comment:
"He plays both halves of an inning."

Favorite:
"He's already satisfied with what he's got from Boutte tonight."

" .. the OP would probably bash Kyle Peterson.. "

***********************************************
..during SECT , Peterson said the "team to beat , the team to watch" and that was poised to win the SECT and "make a run in the regionals" was Arkansas ...

That by far was the worst "professional" broadcast of a game I've ever watched and I'm not joking

Yeah, thats what it was..

Either way, it was a really strange comment at the end of the game.
