Dead Horse: LSU Concessions are rock gut horrible

I realize that prices will be high for concessions at sporting events, but it’s really bad. We didn’t have time to eat before the game and decided to give it a shot. $34 for two cokes, two hot dogs, a popcorn and nachos.
Everything was cold and below horrible except for the cokes. Lady at register had no idea what the combos were and even had to ask me to read off the prices for her from the board. It wasn’t even busy. Absurdly overpriced for what we got and embarrassing. We’ll be sure never to get food there again until something changes. LSU can do better than this. We live in Louisiana for God’s sakes. Otherwise a good time. Will Wade is the real deal and we’re witnessing the start of something special.

You can’t always guarantee great coaching hires or great players, but you can absolutely control stuff like this. I mean a minimal effort would be a drastic improvement.
It’s clear that Coach Wade has had input in improving the game day experience. I think the PMAC will be rockin’ when the bigger games come along based on the little tweaks we’re already seeing. Hopefully someone realizes that they’re leaving more money on the table with the shitty concessions than they are making with the 90% profit margins they’re pulling on the sales. People just aren’t going to buy as much as they would if concessions were at least adequate.

It's pretty shitty at every sporting event. They rape TF outta you in prices and then give crappy food. Best bet is to smuggle in snacks and alcohol.

They should want to create a reputation that LSU has one of the top b-ball team in the nation, f-ball team, baseball team, and one of the best tasting concession food in the nation.

This seems like a no brainer to me. They can still make a ton of money. People will pay for it. It’s not like it’s gotta be 5 star cuisine. Just OK would be better than most places. I’ve had better concessions at high school fairs.

The only away game I attended this year was ole Miss. Their concessions were much better than ours. They even have outside vendors in the stadium.

It was better last year in the PMAC. There was City Pork, the Cajun stand where you could get crawfish pies and jambalaya, Smashburger. And now we have food that looks and tastes like it came from a high school cafeteria. It’s really a shame.
We should have local foods represented in our concessions. And not the stupid crap like gumbo nachos or French fries with crawfish tails on top of them.
Not to mention being overpriced, but that’s every stadium I’ve ever been to. Why can’t we get this right?

asking for some simple Louisiana staples like, jambalaya, fried catfish, poboys, etc shouldn’t even be a pipe dream.

The chili on the nachos was an embarrassment to chili nationwide... and it was 8 dollars
