There will be a Tailgate hosted by the LSU Houston Alumni Association. It's next door to the Stadium! It's in the AC! Details are at www.lsuhoustontailgate.com With the short time period why not let someone else take care of the planning, setup, teardown. All you have to worry about is having a good time!

No alcohol. One food ticket. All for one low price of $50 per person!!!

No offense to you. I'm sure you're a great person. I just think the tailgate for this game looks to be horrible.

My plan is to wake up early, start drinking. Then be angry for a little while that we can't have a tailgate at Reliant, then find a bar to pre game at.

Remember you have to have a ticket to the game to enter the Metro gate and since they are checking for tickets it might take time to get through that gate! I've been there for Texans games and it has taken up to an hour! And being this is the first game of the season I'd plan on that taking longer! Plus NFL security precautions at the stadium gates so.....I'd be at NRG park before 6:00 if you are riding Metro AND want to make kickoff!

I understand. It's all good. The entertainment alone is worth more than $50. And the AC is worth double that. It's a full bar and the costs were negotiated significantly down from what you'll get inside the stadium. Plus there will be TV's inside the tailgate......Just sayin...

Have a ton of relatives that live in Wisconsin but still not sure if any will come down for the game. If they do, they'll hang in BR Friday with us and we'll take it from there.

And just so ya know, Wisky has one of the few fanbases in the country than can hang with us LSU fans drinkin' wise.

So please be aware that if you invite them to have a beer at your tailgate or whatever, they'll take 'a beer' as a minimum of 3-6.

Gumbo and lots of alchohol at a friends house in SW Houston
van w/driver rented to take us to and from stadium.
Get to stadium about 3hrs before KO, 1hr walking around mooching
Based on TCU game rules, we'll be in line for 2hrs to make kick-off

Celebrate glorious win with an all-nighter back at pre-game house.

Even thinking about going over to Wisky board and inviting some of them to pre-game party.

Be careful with that now...

They are one of the few fanbases capable of drinkin' even LSU fans right under the table.

Do you think there is a possibility of the rail cars being filled to capacity around 6 pm or so?

Im staying downtown so that far north I don't really think it will be a problem, but my buddy has nightmares from the Marta in Atlanta in 2001.

I'm starting to have similar thoughts about Metro. I'd appreciate comments from other locals who actually use it to attend the Rodeo or a Texans game.

agree 100%. I'd be in if it wasnt a cash bar. What does $50 pay for?? I know I know..........entertainment, rent space, ect.

I went to the website. It just says "entertainment". What is the entertainment? There needs to be more precise details before I drop $200 for the fam

The thing with that is, I can't imagine the number of people who plan to use it for the LSU game is similar events like the rodeo or a Texans game where less people are staying downtown.

Even for the bowl game, they can't be expecting numbers like what this game will be.
