Actually I would prefer he be great. I'd like all of LSU QBs to be great. However, I believe facts and reality are important. Making up stuff to support your QB of choice will be challenged. He has shown none of the qualities those who do not want Harris or Jennings to be QBs at LSU claim. There is no film that shows the great accuracy or superior intelligence claimed. If there is, please link it and I will enjoy it like any true LSU fan would.

I just heard Ross Dellinger on the radio in Monroe, and he said people within the program who have watched Etling told Dellinger that Etling will be allowed to truly compete with Harris in the spring, and they would not be surprised if Etling wins the job.

This is just something Dellinger was told by people who have watched both quarterbacks. Keep in mind that Cameron was responsible from bringing Etling to LSU. I suppose we'll see in time. I am just so tired, like everyone else, of seeing LSU have such a frustrating, abysmal passing game.

Nobody cares what happened at Purdue.

Makes sense to ignore an actual indication of his playing ability at the collegiate level. He can get better but to act as if it didn't happen or doesn't matter is stupid.

Now hold on just a damn minute! Are you trying to say that a source can have MORE than ONE friend? And, a source can talk to MORE than ONE person? How the hell would that work?! I'm pretty sure that's not even allowed.

If you notice I said he was running for his life behind a horrible oline at Purdue. When he gets time he is very accurate. Watch his film. Maybe that's what you're missing. Have a great day.

Kind of like the Oline BH and Fournette played behind this year?

I know some of you are reaching for whatever shiny new toy you can find, but BH has gone through a full Sophomore season and taken his lumps. Backup QB is always the best player on the team.

Let's let Harris finish growing and learning before we start another project. If he fails, then we should look for the backup, but right now is not the time.

You simply can't know this. You are assuming and in the process come off like a huge douche

Etling

Unless he looks good in a green practice jersey, as in better than Jennings and Harris when they know they will not get hit and look their best, Miles will never conclude that he should play - unless there is just no other option

Like JJ developed, right? At LSU, once a Qb gets effed in the head, they don't recover.

I'm not giving up on Harris but I'm excited by this report. A solid backup and a good starter at qb will be great, regardless of who wins the job

OK Einstein, provide one shred of evidence from his film or statistics that says he is extremely accurate or highly intelligent versus the qualities BH possesses. It is the standard claim about "pocket passers" that is simply not true. Nor is it true that "dual threat" QBs lack intelligence, which is the claim of many on this board. If the claim is made, it should be backed up with some factual evidence. Provide evidence of those qualities that you claim he possesses. Where is it?

People with small minds or immaturity tend to resort to name calling when responding to someone who holds a different opinion. I resort to facts and evidence. Where's yours?

Or maybe...he was hoping to find a school loaded with talent where his limited but solid skill set would be a perfect fit....MAYBE that is why cam wanted him in baton rouge. Maybe you are right...maybe he can't be a qb that can carry a team like they needed at Purdue...but maybe he can be a perfect fit for what LSU actually needs. But hey...why not shite on the kid and the idea that he could give us options....its what people like you do. .

Just FYI...bolden could have very well given us more than Jennings or Harris. Also....don't despair...after watching miles trot JJ out there game after game...you have nothing to worry about. Miles loves him some DT qb. Which is precisely the reason he will be fired after this year.

My hope is that if anything they brought in Etling to push Brandon at practice over the off season.

(I'm not ruling out the fact that Etling can't potentially lead this team)

Our QB situation going into 2015 was a 2 man toss up race in which for the most part was Harris to lose. Theres nothing wrong with added competition at practice, hopefully that will motivate and mold Brandon into a better QB if he indeed is chosen to start in 2016.

Open competition and the competition actually being competitive are two different things.

The chances of Leonard not being the feature back for LSU as long as he is enrolled is roughly zero, but our other backs should be given the opportunity to compete.

Continuity?LOL

Know we don't, what we need is competency.
Somebody that will rank anywhere but towards the bottom of the conference and nation.
