Danny Etling is a good quarterback

I understand the feelings and thoughts.... but he is a good quarterback.
I was tapped on the shoulder during the walk down the hill, I turned and Danny thanked me and shook my hand....afterwords the family surprised me. Gracious people. These kids are playing their hearts out, but as a WHOLE we're just not a great team this year. LINK

If he was a good quarterback he wouldn’t have the arm of an eighth grader and would have hit the wide open receiver on the last play of the game

No he's not.
He's been playing college football for 5 years and still misses wide open receivers.

He's barely above Harris and Jennings, two kids who were ruined by coming to LSU. Andrew Hatch might be better.

Etling has shown too much toughness and heart for me to criticize him, but he’s average at best. I respect the hell out of him and I know the line doesn’t help him much.

You’re putting your feelings towards etling ahead of your rationalization of him. Good kid with toughness and heart but he’s mediocre at best.

Etling is an average high school quarterback. He is a terrible college quarterback. That is all. Couldn't find the field at Purdue and has been outperformed by every QB we have played this year. Saying he is good is just fricking delusional. He holds the offense back so much, that the coaches are trying to force feed a freshman. Nice guy, terrible QB.

Tapping you on your shoulder and meeting his family doesn't make him a god qb. He couldn't make it fricking Purdue. The kid is a joke.

Danny is in a bad situation. He's tough as mails and has zero quit. He's not the most skilled of QBs but Deshaun Watson or Baker Mayfield would look terrible behind this Oline we're fielding amd this sketchy play calling. I like Danny and I'd much rather him be at LSU than if he hadn't.

Look I like Danny but he's average at best this isn't all on him this team is just not good.
