See a lot of similarities. If Etling can improve his reads, timing, and delivery, no reason he can't be as impressive as Simien has been the past couple of NFL starts.

Very reminiscent to what type of player Alex Smith is in the NFL. A guy that quietly does his thing. No MVP's or anything crazy. No crazy arm talent, just does what he needs to do to be a QB.

On one of those three - I believe the first one - Dupre was unequivocally open. I do agree with the other ones being deceiving.

While I agree, even Drew Brees misses reads sometimes. One of Etling's strengths is his ability to read the field and go through his progressions. It's hard to do that when you are running for you life.

I should have said "make the small improvements" because DE is already 80% there.
As for whether this post is deserved, the bigger point was the development of Etling vs. Simien. They have similar talents, Etling might be a tad faster. But both have a hard work ethic and show great poise.
And it's not a white thing either. Russell Wilson says hello.
