Kelly has some kind of vision there.

"Trashing him on the internet" has absolutely nothing to do with how JD performs on the football field. NOTHING that's posted on here has any effect on any area of the football program.

He quit because it became clear Daniels was starting and it wasn't open. Kelly went and got him out of the portal. MB saw what all the wrs saw with Daniels. I don't blame MB for not wanting to sit behind the garbage we been seeing on the field.

Yes, I was there as well. It's sickening to watch.

You're making this up as a cope.

Do all of you honestly believe Daniels is really that bad?
He is absolutely that bad. He and Nuss were neck and neck before the latter had to sit out of practice with an ankle injury. Daniels was the 3rd best QB coming out of spring training. And, quite frankly, Daniels has not improved since spring.

CBK gets paid $10 million/year and he has made it very clear that he is living and dying with Daniels as his signal caller.
And until he gives up the pipe dream that JD is going to be the next big thing at QB, LSU will continue to flounder offensively and Kelly will continue to be viewed as "overpaid." This is literally the Miles/Jefferson scenario playing out all over again.

Whatever it is, CBK sees something in Daniels that a lot of people here don’t see.
No...we all see what Kelly sees. An athletic kid that happens to play QB. We get it, it's a major perk to have a spread QB that can run...opens up the playbook quite a bit. Except that Kelly and Denbrock are LIMITING Daniels's potential by forcing him to read defenses. Daniels is an option QB trying to be a pro QB. Imagine if Bobby Petrino had limited Lamar Jackson like this at Louisville. And yes, they are literally the same type of player.

This is the internet...people are going to criticize LSU no matter what. But, in this case it is justified. LSU has decent enough athletes not to be an embarrassment every week. The coaches need to stop being so conservative on offense, and special teams needs a kick in the arse.

And here lies the biggest problem. If you want Daniels to be the QB, fine. Then put him in an offense that suits his skill set and abilities. A spread offense will make him a better QB with the ability to make a pre-snap read and get the ball out to his playmakers.

At RB, Goodwin is better built for a spread, much like CEH was. Trey Holly is as well and we will waste their talent in Denbrock's offense. Smaller, more shifty backs operate better in space.
