Scott mentions:
Christian LaCouture
DeSean Smith
Travin Dural
Connor Neighbors

Who would your pick be? I say:
Ronnie Feist-At a crowded and talented position on this years team, Feist is too good to keep off the field and I think we saw a flash of that in the Spring game.

As for newcomers to make an impact I say Devin Voorhies.

35 days and counting!!

I think Desean Smith, if used correctly, can be a a BEAST.

He reminds of me of Aaron Hernandez sans the murders

had a weird yr last yr. he was #2 Mike behind Minter in 2012 (Welter was suspended), got moved to DE last spring, then never saw any time at DE or LB last yr. and as far as I can tell he wasn't redshirted. now he's 3rd string Will. not sure how much he'll play.

Dillon Gordon. had a nice catch and run vs A&M, an acrobatic snag vs Bama, and a nice streak of games with a catch going into the bowl. our fans think of him as a blocker only, but he looks like he could do some damage if given a few more looks.

Dural. Hard to believe what will be our #1 receiver this year is flying under the radar but I think Dural will be very close if not over 1000 yards receiving this year.

Quentin Thomas

If only this could be true my confidence for this season would go way up. But he's been in the program a long time, and if he wasn't good enough to put Anthony Johnson on the bench last year I doubt he'll improve enough to be a big factor.

IMO the real surprise maybe Quentin Thomas at DT. This is a 3* player that Haley, Chavis and Miles wanted a lot out of HS, even to the point of overlooking his suspension from his HS team from some undisclosed infraction. They then gave him a lot of love and encouragement to academically qualify. They gave him to Moffit and they have built a real man here in his 4th year. He performed well in the bowl game when Ferguson was suspended. IMO he will be a very solid player in his 4th year. He could very well give the same type quality performance that Logan or Ferguson did. I am not ready to say he will be Brockers but he has been behind some studs.

QT played the other tackle behind Ferguson. Even Ferguson had to wait his turn. The last several players to play that tackle have been relatively high NFL draft choices. He has been playing behind some tough players. As I pointed out when he went into games he did well. Now it is his turn.

I think Q. Thomas is solid and will do a good job but I also feel LaCouture will have the better year...
