Revealed he has a herniated disk and will likely miss his entire rookie season in the NFL. Such a sad thing to hear as he made himself a lot of money last season. Hoping for a speedy recovery. LINK

Damn that is awful.

I really hope it doesn’t have a drastic effect on his stock. They said he should make a full recovery.

Damn. Sucks for him.

Every NFL team should be eying him for a value pick in the draft.

I'm not a doctor but he must have been having symptoms related to that if they are going to do surgery

He will drop because of it and that sucks. Back injuries worry teams. Wouldn't mind us grabbing him if he slides. Could learn behind Demario.

Ugh. Hate to see him start with this shite at such a young age. Anyone who has been through that wouldn't wish it on anyone.

That'll be a tough injury to come back from.

Discs absorb A LOT of energy that runs through the spine on impacts.

I have three fused vertebrae in my neck. Any knock to the top of my head can make me weak-kneed.

I wish him the best but football is perhaps the worst sport to engage in after such a surgery, IMHO.

Unfortunately, if they are going straight to a fusion, than he doesn't just have a disc herniation. He most likely has a disc herniation with spondylolisthesis (slippage of one vertebrae relative to another). This is not what you want in your early 20s.

Yeah, just read that he's having fusion surgery.

I'm guessing him returning is unlikely.

Damn he didn’t deserve that. His career is very likely over before it started.

Making a full recovery for everyday living after spinal fusion is one thing.

Playing professional football as a linebacker after spinal fusion is something else entirely.

Wouldn’t you think his doctors are gonna tell him he can’t play football again, especially if it happens to be a cervical vertebrae…?

Spinal fusion surgery and playing linebacker doesn’t sound very possible
