If LSU recruits Dak Prescott as a QB and lets him play QB, what do you think our seasons would have been like 2013 to 2015? Serious question

With Miles the same, without Miles remains to be seen.

Sorry. Did not know it was such an extensive controversy. I'm just watching the Cowboys and was thinking about how good a football player this guy from Louisiana is.

It's extremely doubtful he becomes that QB here

Miles would have probly moved him to TE. Dak made the best decision for himself at that time and it all worked out for him. If we had dak and dan mullens offense we would have won at least 1 national championship.

We'll probably see this topic again in 4 years when Thompson goes to the pros and how LSU whiffed on him.

I'm just hoping Brennan/Narcisse make that topic a moot point.

Dak doesn't develop and moves to the NFL if he comes here

Playin for Mullen helped him become the QB he is today

I'd like to say he'd be the same player but I just can't see it.

Miles was here for 11 years and every QB he signed out of highschool had rough careers here. Some of the things in their careers we may never see again modern football

QB les signed out of HS that played

Periloux
-only "success" story. Started in and won an SEC championship game, kicked off team

Lee
-not a bad QB overall.
-threw more touchdowns to defenders in 08 than Jefferson threw to our receivers in 2010.
-Caught hell from fans, booed in his own stadium. .
-fun fact: 2008 LSU v UGA - leading receiver in the game was UGAs middle linebacker with 97 yards and 2 TDs. More than AJ green had from Matthew Stafford
-close to redemption senior year, played very well minus one game, was benched after that in favor of Jefferson who only played "well" in one game. Arkansas
-career was a roller coaster with bitter ending

Jefferson
-Decent Sophmore year
-Fun Fact: Starter in 2010 on an 11 win team. Did not throw a touchdown pass after week 1 until week 9 vs Bama.
-Booed in his own stadium, what his home state fans associate with one of the most devastating games in LSU history (gameplan)

Jennings
-never had a chance.
-booed in own stadium
-transfer

Harris
-decent first half of sophomore year
-eventually shite talked by his home state
-Transferred

Was rough to see these guys careers turn out this way, id like to know how much was really on them and how much was determined by the positions they were put in.

QBs that did well
-Russell: Jimbo
-Flynn: 4 years under Jimbo
^ neither signed by Miles
-Mett : transfer
-Etling: transfer, did ok

3 of those guys played for a national title. So yeah, we may never see that again considering who the freaking coach is now.

Nope, probably would have moved him to tight end either way.

They did. They were on some great teams

What does that have to do with:
Lees 08: 16 interceptions, 7 returned for TDs
Jefferson 2010: 6 week touchdown drought on an 11 win team

Were they really bad players on extremely good teams, so bad they could barely seem competent half the time surrounded by NFL players, or could Miles not develop a QB out of highschool

Every single HS QB signee that played either transferred or was booed in their own stadium multiple times. Obviously I'd love to have had him, but the best decision Dak ever made was going to MSU. I just can't imagine him being in the league right now otherwise

I was a huge Miles fan. There were things he was great at. He gave us as successful of a decade as we've ever had with unforgettable games and players. Doesn't mean I cant point out his flaws, he did not even offer Dak at QB, he wouldn't have developed him like mullen did either

You're right, but Miles did offer Dak as a QB. A week before signing day .

Dak would have been benched and never drafted under Les. The problem is we have not developed QBs and heavily depend on our run game and Defense to save our asses. Guice is great but is hurt and our D is young and making a lot of mistakes. I hope things get better.
