If they don't win their conference tournament, I think a national seed will be a tough sell. It's still absurd to me that their RPI is that high, road wins be damned.

Missouri state ain't no joke.

I'll say. Best baseball program in that state. They are the reason Mizzou isn't better than they are. Just look at the Missouri State Bears baseball stadium, Hammons Field...

Capacity, 8,000. It also has 28 luxury suites, five party decks, six food and beverage outlets, a souvenir shop and a club lounge. Now compare that to Mizzou's Taylor Stadium at Simmons Field...

Capacity, 3,031. No suites. Huge gulf between those two in-state programs.

Pretty terrible work by Rogers/Fitt to have the Springfield Regional paired with the top overall seed and not the extremely weak CofC Regional.

In fact, it would be shameful for the committee to put together a joke regional like CofC if they aren't pairing it with the No. 1 team.

Looks like they made a mistake and changed it. Not SELA is in Baton Rouge now and Tulane sent to College Station.

4 texas regionals and 3 florida regionals... along with all the other ones in the southeast. I just can't see it happening.

so this one guy bankrolled the whole thing?

The facility was built by Missouri State alumnus John Q. Hammons.

It must have been built with their minor league team in mind.

Been to a couple games at MSU...its a nice place. I expect MSU to roll through the MVC in Wichita.

SEC probably gets 2 national seeds, deserves more.

there is no easy draw anymore nor a favorable one…any team we play in the Supers we will need to bring our A game to win

I completely agree, but that doesn't mean i think LSU should be matched up with Arkansas

More to quibble with...if FSU is not a national seed, they should not get FAMU just because they are in town. Committee bettern send the Rattlers to Gainesville.

SLU should not have to come to LSU two years in a row. It's more likely Tulane comes here than the Lions. In fact, I bet USM comes to BR while Tulane and SLU go to Texas.

That's a bold prediction. I think SLU is about 95% in BR.

All the memories of Mainieri choking in winnable regionals at Alex Box has found a permanent home in everyone's head.

Yeah, just looking at the travel concerns. With so many Texas-based regionals, it's easy to send SLU and Tulane to College Station/UH and USM to LSU. I am assuming the 450 mile travel rule is still part of the equation though?

Now, if NW State or Nicholls win the SLC and SLU still gets a bid, I'd think the Demons go to A&M or Nicholls goes to Houston. SLU can still go to one of those two places, just not the same as a fellow SLC team.

BA just came out. Has us paired with CoC, and Tulane as the #2 seed. SLU shipped to Texas.

They have Tulane as a 2-seed and OM as a 3-seed. I doubt that's going to be the case.

agreed. think it's pretty clear the RPI formula needs to be tinkered with if road wins against mostly below average competition are weighed that heavily
