You do realize that this is just a guess by some people that run a website and not what the committee will do, right? So, you can not use this prediction as evidence that you are correct

You realize these predictions aren't by just "some people that run a website" right? These people are college baseball analysts and probably know what the committee is more likely to do than you or I do. It's how tournaments are done. The top natty seeds have the easiest path to Omaha and the lower natty seeds have a tougher route.

Yeah, I do know that. Doesn't make their predictions accurate. I challenge you to provide evidence that they predict accurately and/or that the top seeds get the easier path to Omaha.

I'll provide evidence to the contrary right now. In 2014, LSU was the number 8 overall seed in the NCAA tournament, but got stuck with the number 10 RPI team (Houston) in their regional. So, LSU got a team that was probably good enough to host in their region...and look what happened.

That same year Indiana was the number 4 overall seed. Its regional was paired up against the number 8 RPI Vanderbilt team that probably could have been a national seed that year. Same thing happened to the number 6 national seed Illinois last season. They also got paired up with a top 10 RPI Vandy team.

So...good luck finding your evidence.

Edit: Last season LSU was the overall 2 seed. The weakest host sites were UCSB and Cal St.-Fullerton. UCSB was matched up with #1 UCLA, while Fullerton was matched with #3 Louiville...not LSU. AND Fullerton was lower in the RPI than UCSB to boot. Strangely, LSU got matched up with a higher rated Houston regional. I wonder why that is?

I realize how the NCAA does it, but the way D1 does it is more of a ranking system than a regional match up. My whole point was they feel LSU is around the "10 seed" and that with a series win vs UF they could put themselves in good position for a natty seed. Not saying this is the defacto field of 64 bracket. Get it?

Then you did a terrible job of stating that this was your argument.
