I would be shocked if the SEC gets 4 National Seeds. 3 seems likely which itself is crazy. I think that forth team (South Carolina, Ole Miss, LSU, Vandy) gets left out.
Well its either gonna be the SEC or ACC with 4 national seeds. So its gonna happen one way or the other. The west coast is epically down this year. The ACC and SEC are dominating. We will probably get 4.

No doubt. Texas Tech is the only other team worthy of being considered, and they better finish strong to stay top 8.

Which basically puts LSU as the "#10 seed" meaning a series win vs UF puts LSU in serious contention for a natty seed.
That's not how it works. For softball, yes. Not for baseball.

They will be if they win the nation's #5 RPI conference.

Tech has to win their series this weekend to be locked in to an at-large. And, to be honest, I think Southeastern needs to sweep. I don't care how highly ranked their rpi is, they're never safe playing in the Southland...no respect.
One could also say that Northwestern State will get robbed considering their RPI at season's end.
Be that as it may, Louisiana baseball is still making a good showing this season.
I did think it was funny last night during the game, Ronnie Rantz was talking about the Southland getting in multiple teams as at-large bids. They rarely get any team in other than the tournament champion. Would be a banner year for them if they get multiple bids this season.

Yes sir. Based on history, SLU has to at least win 2-of-3 at Central Arkansas this weekend and make it to the SLC title game to make that a two-bid league.

Rarely, but the west and north are so bad this year. If it doesnt happen this year, may not ever happen.

The Cmte would have some serious 'splaining to do if they bumped a 4th SEC team from the top 8, based on performance as of right now.

Utah leads the Pac-12. The Utes are 21-25 overall and 6-16 out of conference.
If Utah wins that league, the rest of the teams should be banned from the postseason.

If LSU takes the series against Florida and goes far in the tournament, and SC loses the series to Alabama and does not make it far into the tournament, can we take their national seed spot? I think A&M and Florida have things wrapped up.

1. LSU 2. Tulane 3. Wake Forest 4. Wright State
paired with:
1. Virginia (#7 national seed) 2. Coastal Carolina 3. Bryant 4. Navy
We get to beat Tulane and the reigning CWS champions

absolutely meaningless/useless at this point.

Pretty much, they just don't give the next 8 a designated seeding. They aren't going to put #1 overall seed against the team they feel just missed out on a national seed. They will pair them with who they feel is the worst of the other host sites.

Gee...must be a coincidence that in many years the Super pairing for LSU just happen to be against Regionals that are in Houston (quite often), Metairie, or Hattiesburg. Luckily all those regional host teams just happen to be appropirately better or worse than the Tigers...

Dude, no. You're wrong. It's not like that at all. If anything, it's usually more about geography/travel than anything else.

Yeah which is why UF is matched with CSF (not FSU), UL is matched with Arizona (not Vandy) and LSU is matched with UVA (not Texas Tech). I understand they want to keep it somewhat regional, but if it were truly regional they could have matched it differently. Final RPI and the eye test definitely play a large part.

You do realize that this is just a guess by some people that run a website and not what the committee will do, right? So, you can not use this prediction as evidence that you are correct.
I mean, obviously you'll get some cross country travel from time to time when it comes to West Coast teams and whatnot, that's just an artifact of the numbers and locations of host sites.
Go back and look at previous tournaments, the evidence is there that MOST Super Regionals are pairings of Regionals that are close together geographically.
EDIT: Also, this season could be weird since the West is so down and the prediction of so many SEC and ACC national seeds as well as host sites. Pretty sure they don't match up sites for a potential Super if the hosts/1 seeds are in the same conference. Could make for some interesting pairings.

Does this mean we are #10 if they ranked then 1 thru 16?
10th Matches our RPI.
A 2/3 showing vs Florida this week and a strong showing in the SECT would vault us past Ole Miss, MooU and South Carolina in the pecking order.
