If i was an outside man picking, Vandy would be my overall pick

Vandy has a knack of going completely bat-dead (with a ton of strikeouts) against good pitching (or even sometimes average pitching). They're going to face good pitching in the postseason which could bite them in the arse.

It's because he saw them play once.

Mine would be Florida. They have above average pitching and can hit.

Not sure what you are laughing at but Louisville is nasty. They have an ace who is one of the top 5 freshman pitchers in the country, a two guy who will be an early first rounder (based on stuff) and some excellent bats. I'd put them with UCLA as a team I would least like to face.

In my mind there are usually about 8-10 teams who can win it all.

This year, id say those are UCLA, LSU, Louisville, Florida, Miami, Illinois, Vandy, and Texas A&M.

Fitt really takes that shite too seriously. Makes himself an easy target.

Not sure you know much about their past 2 trips to Omaha.

That's where I have to give Ross credit. He always rolls with it. And he's harmless.

Fitt is national and thinks way too damn highly of himself.

I'd choose Louisville.

No he doesn't. He probably just doesn't care much for our #2 and #3 starting pitchers. I think now more than ever pitching is key in Omaha given the new ballpark. If you're constantly relying on relief pitching you need a Fresno St. like offense to compensate for those games when you give up 7-9 runs.

I would personally feel better if LSU finished where they did and had either Florida or Vandy on the regular season schedule to get a sense of where the starting pitching really stood.

But the offense is legit, no question about it.

not bad picks. All of those teams have the potential. Illinois? heh.

If Louisville wins it, they'd be the first ACC team to do it since .... long time ago, I think Abner Doubleday was in diapers last time it happened.
