That makes me so much happier. LSU doing a nice job of filling it out.

Still could use LB, C, TE, additional corner

I think Tre’Mond Shorts will be our center

Don’t think Shorts is transferring to LSU to play center

I would put the former walk ons who got awarded a scholly this year in a separate category as if numbers manipulation needed to happen, that would be where it would happen. I think I saw 5 former walk ons listed out on your list in TE Mashburn, RB Demas, RB Williams, WR Francioni and OL Payne

He said today he is willing to play anywhere on the OL which tells me coaches asked if he could be flexible. That being said he could also be the best LT on the roster anyways.

Wow didn’t see that. That’s huge. Sounds like the type of guy you want on your team for sure.

Yes that’s correct but how shitty would it be to be told your on scholarship, and then taken off a few weeks later. I don’t think Brian Kelly would do that 1, 2 if he did, you’d think some of those guys would’ve hit the portal by now. But yeah you might be 100% correct, maybe they won’t be on scholly but Josh Williams and Jack Mashburn definitely deserve it

We will get a lb and corner after the spring games when players start to realize they may not play much and we can get one then.
There are players that are good that may just be at a school that has a ton of depth at a particular position that we can use
Corners are badly needed. Outside corners to be exact. Sure hate losing flott and Dwight
Those guys from Arkansas were good at Arkansas so they gotta be better than raydarious or whoever else hasn’t played much
I think pig cage lights it up next year

I don't recall having 16 scholarship (17 if you count Payne) OL on a roster in many years.
That in itself is a huge improvement!!

I think it is a battle for center. Martinez, Hill, Dellinger and Shorts could all try and see who can handle it, while not hurting other spots(ie if Shorts needs to stay at tackle)

I agree, we definitely need at least 1 more true outside corner. Unless jay Ward is switching back, we are pretty short handed

Walk ons understand their scholarship is generally on a year by year basis so it shouldnt be shocking. I do think Mashburn's scholly is 100% safe, maybe even Williams. The other guys, I think because we had room, they got them.
Also we cant just take away their scholar in same academic year, they have it for the full academic year, it could change going into next academic year.
My point was simply if we did get to a point where we are actually up against the full limit by some miracle, a couple walk ons who got a scholly this year might not get one for next year. This is why I would have them separate out as "extras" on scholarship right now, but could change in future.

I don’t see Shorts playing tackle. I know Saahdiq Charles was only 6’4 but most of BK’s OT in the past have been 6’5 at least. I think Shorts (6’4) will be an IOL with Frazier and Wire playing Tackle.
Additionally Charles plays IOL now in NFL.. gotta be tall to play Tackle in the NFL.

Shorts was an elite LT this past season, I wouldnt write him off to the interior just yet...that being said it's good he's flexible.

Him and Frazier could be a pretty unbelievable pair of tackles we didn't have on roster last year that could be starting. Quite a turnaround. Although I think Shorts' future is at OG in the NFL, he was GREAT at ETSU at OT.
