Crowton never has had much involvement in practice. He is usually uninvolved and just game planning. I think that is part of his problem.

No...just pointing out how useless your 36 posts are in three years!
a quick look at your posting history, joe, shows that you have zero room to talk

If that's the case then he is truly useless. How can the QB coach not be involved in practice?

DD just emailed me back and he thinks Crowton returns.
In fact, he said that Mett is on board because of Crowton.
I am speechless

Crowton isn't going anywhere I don't believe. It wouldn't matter if he left anyway. I've been to a handful of practices and scrimmages over the past 3 years and Crowton is typically on the outside looking in. Miles is always the one with the offense with the card in his hand. The very reason I've said over and over that miles was to blame over crowton earlier in the year when all that talk was going on. If he's gone i'd be shocked..... the only thing that might improve is qb development if he leaves. Our play calling will never improve as long as less is here.

I was there as well and I could not understand why T-Bob was the one running the offense and calling tjhe plays and what not.

So Les was responsible for the great 2006 and 2007 offenses? What changed?

I have enjoyed reading DD's column, but I cannot buy this. I don't know for sure if GC goes after the Bowl, but I give Mett far more credit than this. I doubt he came to LSU so he could run a GC unproductive offensive package.

Do you think Miles understands that Crowton may have cost LSU a national championship this year 2010.... A few more plays with the players we have would have LSU playing in the big game...

As an offensive coordinator, I would leave if I knew 50% of the calls I made were over ridden by the head coach each game!!! So maybe what you saw may have been only 50% input by Crowton which is the norm each game.

GC may be back but Mettenburger coming here because of Crowton is utter BS. DD doesnt have a clue on this one. Before I get complaints...he's a great guy, bleeds p&g blah blah...

I'm as big of a positiger as there is, but I can't get behind that statement.
I honestly think the staff got as much out of the players....more, really...as can be gotten.
You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. And a sow's ear is what we have right now at QB.
10-2 is right where were we should be IMO.

I agree with you on the MNC thing but in NO way has this coaching staff gotten the most out of this offense...
I cant believe anyone thinks this? If the QBs are a problem a good coach can find a way to be better than 10th in the SEC! Hell, we could run the option full time and be more productive.

You think our talent is 10th. in the SEC???

At this point I'd be OK with Cathy Miles being named OC. It's not like she could do a worse job....

This could either be proof that there is a God or that GC just doesn't do shite.
