Yes he did. Which is why he's gone now.

what drives me crazy is the sudden lack of identity going from the 2007/2008 season to the 2009/2010

Judging by the constant parade of threads over the past year telling everybody how "delusional" the LSU fanbase is for thinking that our talent is actually better than other teams we played, and how silly it is to criticize coaches making the "big bucks," yeah, I'd say it's always been in question.

No lsu will lose 2 games a year just like every good year with miles.

Let's see his starting offense this past season...

QB- Jordan Jefferson, 4* recruit. Also, Jarrett Lee, 4* recruit, Elite 11 quarterback out of high school.

RB- Stevan Ridley, 4* recruit. Michael Ford, 4* recruit. Spencer Ware, 5* recruit. Richard Murphy, 4* recruit.

FB- James Stampley, couldn't find anything on Rivals, but played very good.

WR- Terrance Toliver, 5* recruit. Rueben Randle, 5* recruit. Russell Shepard, 5* recruit.

TE- DeAngelo Peterson, 4* recruit.

C- PJ Lonergan, 3* recruit. Also, T-Bob Hebert, 4* recruit, played mostly at right guard after Blackwell's injury.

RG- Will Blackwell, 4* recruit. T-Bob Hebert stepped in after Blackwell was injured.

LG- Josh Dworaczyk, 4* recruit.

RT- Alex Hurst, 3* recruit.

LT- Joseph Barksdale, 4* recruit.

(All ratings were off Rivals.com)

Don't feed me that bullshite. With this lineup we shouldn't have lost a game. (Maybe Auburn, but if they had a damn coach, they would've won that game, same with Arkansas, defense didn't play good in that game, though.)

The quarterback play wasn't good, but that's because Crowton (and Miles) were idiots and would never let Lee take over a game. Except for Florida. With that lineup, they should've been putting up 49 pts a game like Oregon, even with an incompetent quarterback like Jefferson. This is all on Crowton.

See the QB fiasco of this past season and what more can possibly be said. This team should have been playing for the NC with any semblance of fair play from our QB's

for all you crowton haters, miles is the problem! miles has been trying to run this offense from day one. i promise you crowton will have a top ranked offense at maryland with less talent.

Like in 2003 when BYU lost to Utah 3-0 ( LINK), the only time BYU has been held scoreless since 1975?

People who put so much behind the "star" system on recruiting amuse me. All a 4 or 5 star athlete did was progress faster than the others. More 3 star players coming out of highschool have ended up in the NFL than 4 or 5 star players. 3 star players tend to work harder and learn more in the college ranks. Both Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee were underachievers. Was it the system? Was it the coaching? Or was it just that both of these players peaked in highschool and were just never going to be mentioned among the elite in college? Who knows? The obvious difference in offensive philosophies between Les and Gary was the problem people! LSU couldn't find an identity because you had two coaches fighting over whether the spread or the power I was going to be run. Les is here to stay now, whether y'all like it or not, and it's time to find a coach that compliments his style of coaching. I continue to see people drooling over the thought of Mike Leach coming in. Are you serious?!? Another spread offense guy?!? We need a pro-style coordinator to come in. That's the bottom line.
