I wouldn't go that far but he was smart enough to save us from what would have been an embarrassing loss to the Vols in 2010. I have read a column or two he has written and I can't say they demonstrated much intelligence,.

O kept him on to save his recruiting class. Do you think these fickle 18 year-olds would have honored their commitment if he fires his recruiting coordinator before NSD? We'd be looking at a class of fewer than 20 and barely in the top 20. For O to pull 23 and a top 10 class tells me he knows what he's doing when it comes to recruiting.
