Since being such a highly rated prospect he's mainly just played special teams. I had heard that he was having problems with playbook in his previous seasons plus being hurt as a freshman.

Anyway, is Loston expected to take over the strong safety spot this season? and who is his competition for position. We've got a ton of young DB talent, curious if hes predicted to be a firm starter

are they both freshman?

I usually keep up with recruiting but not this year for some reason.

Also, is ronnie vinson projected at free safety? I remember ppl saying he had talent to get some playing time before last season

We have enough depth that the younger guys will always push the older ones. It seems like it's finally Loston's year, until he knocks himself unconscious on Kickoff.

I think Vinson is at corner, he should compete for the 3rd corner behind TM7 and Simon.

Loston should be the starter this season. He has had some injury problems but I hope he can stay healthy because he's a hitter. I would love to see him as a roll down player and help support against a heavy running team and bust heads. Always been a big fan of Loston because of his special teams play, just never stayed healthy and he did have Reid and Taylor in front of him..

Martin and Eugene will get a good bit of PT this season too. I like Eugene as a nickle back/off the edge pressure guy. Played against him in high school and he's a serious ball player. Regardless the Secondary is stacked

We know Loston is a hard hitter, but what about his pass coverage skills, provided he remains 100% healthy?

he had a few over-pursuit/angle issues but his main issue, it appears, is a couple of concussions. He could be one or two away from being done for good. I think this is the main reason he didn't see significant time after he was cleared last year.

By now, I'm pretty sure Loston is locked in at the SS spot. It's only a matter of how much he can produce their. Hopefully, he can finally deliver on the potential we all saw in his HS film.

If so, he will be a joy to watch. Poppa Loston murders people when he gets them lined up in his sights.

I have been waitig for Loston to break out for a few years now, he has tons of talent. Like you said though he has injury issues. Maybe he should be awarded #18 jersey. He has worked hard for this season, and maybe a change in number would give him some good luck

Ronald Martin will be starting!!! He's just the kid the that got his redshirt burned at the end of the year and jumped loston on the dept chart. Les said he's just to good to keep off the field. This not a knock on Loston but Ronald is a future star and another diamond in the rough 3 star that Les has found. Just face it

You don't think redshirting almost the whole year while knowing in the back of my mind i'm ready to play is not being patient. I'm not a redshirt freshman im a sophomore so it's my time 2 shine. Well maybe he wouldn't say that but if i was him i would
