When you get 5 or 6 players on base in late innings (with 0 or 1 out, to boot) of a 1-run ball game - you HAVE to score runs. HAVE to. Bottom of the 8th notwithstanding, we should have been up 1 to 3 runs in the middle of the 8th - conservatively - with better offensive strategy and execution.

And we didn't. And I have to point at coaching and fundamentals.

correct pitching did. We were the 2nd best

I agree with the topic title. I think what is hurting is our pitching team is not as skilled and deep. Losing Walker was a big hit to our chance of winning.

At the end of the day Florida was the better team at the finals
