Does anyone know where there will be TAF or other LSU pre-game festivities before the LSU-Oregon game?

I have heard about Humperdink's and that may a little too far for me to properly "warm up" for the game.

I think they do but I already have a parking pass close to the stadium and Humperdink's would be 2-2.5 mile walk. I'd rather just hang around and drink if there is something else going on.

The LSU Dallas Ulumni group is hosting a party at J. Gilligan's Bar in Arlington. It is $60 a ticket and that get your food, beer, a parking spot at the bar, and a shuttle to and from the game. This is what my group is doing.

Humperdink's was a disaster for the Cotton Bowl...45 minute wait to wait 2 hours for a table or get to the bar....PASS!

I'd suggest bringing an icechest on wheels & rolling it around to different tailgates.. that is if you don't have enough people w/ you to put on your own tailgate

It's me and the wife heading to Big D ... would probably do better finding a spot to crash for 4-6 hours and "get loose" before the game.

Humperdinks and Giligans are the only two big non-Jerry World game day parties I'm aware of. Humps has added more shuttles and claims they'll soon have an online site to buy shuttle seats/times via credit card. There's a $10 parking fee at Humps. At either place: ARRIVE EARLY, I mean breakfast-early. Humps claims to hold 500, Gillians about three times that many. We're talking mob-city. We'll do the Green Lizard Friday night and party at the hotel and catch the hotel shuttle.

If we decide to hang out around Jerry's World, what are they planning OR, if you made it to the Cotton Bowl, what did they do then?

Worried about food more than beer (I'll bring enough of that).

Will there be anything worthwhile happening around the stadium on gameday? I'd like to tailgate, but it's only a buddy and I making the trip from our crew. Don't want to tag along equipment just for 2 people.

Does the ticket have to be bought in advance or can it be bought at the door when you walk up?

Count me in too. The parking and shuttle alone are worth the money.... Not to mention the food and booze
