If lsu leaves it up to the refs...we're history. Better not let the ending of the game be in doubt

ETA: can't spell

last year, Nov 5 game, really was an aberation. It was a fairly called game. They saw what happened and no way they are going to allow that to happen again. I expect bug eyes to be in rare form after f'ing up last season and calling a some what fair game. I'm sure he recieved a royal arse raping in the SEC offices after that game for letting that happen.

That being said...I sure hope it isn't Ritter or Penn Wagers. I'd love for Matt Austin or Marc Curles to officiate it. The Williams guy is pretty solid....Don't have any heart burn with Hubert Owens' crew either.

It's not going to be any of them.

You heard it here first.

Could LSU put in a request for an officiating crew from another conference for the Bama game or do SEC crews always officiate SEC games?

If serious, then this is the stupidest question I have ever seen on the Rant. Ever. And that covers a LOT of ground.

meh

"I thought the SEC crew did a better job last November than the out of conference crew did in the NC game."

typical, the only way the officials aren't on the take is if LSU wins.... And you LSU fans say Bama fans whine and moan...... pathetic

Hey, it would be ok to have a non SEC crew to officiate, but if Bama agreed to that, then maybe ya'll should agree to a neutral site, like Georgia dome. I wouldn't care who called the game as long as it wasn't played in BR at night.
That is a huge advantage..............(that's a compliment by the way).

When the rest of the SEC teams have enough with the Bama Refs... I would hope that all teams vote to move the SEC office every two years to a different SEC school......................... why are all the ref's from Alabama?????????????????????????????????????????

No was just kidding. If you think that Bama has an advantage with the refs and want us to give that up, then you should be willing to give up the home field advantage. It was just a joke, because I can't willingly say that the refs would be in our favor. I hope that they are, because if we don't win, there won't be a SEC in the championship game, and we'd be the ones that broke the streak

That is what makes me nervous, only the SEC can keep the SEC out of the BCS championship game. That's a lot of $$$ for Slive and crew to let go by. The officiating scales will be tipped in Bama's favor come Saturday....sadly.

I heard the replay official was going to be the guy that set next year's SEC schedule, as he's gotten so many kudos for how fair that was.

First off, you're an idiot if you think that Bama hasn't had a decisive advantage in most games with the refs. Hell they wouldn't call holding on Bama for like 15 games. I actually respect the Bama posters who say shite like "Hopefully it's our boy Ritter." Just admit what is there.

Second off, I would rather the refs never throw a flag on either team than call a game "fair". My problem with Bama games if the lopsidedness of the flags they throw. Im sorry, but when Bama had that stretch of no holding penalties I want to say they called like 5-6 on LSU in the game against each other. That's ridiculous.

Third off, our team has been heavily penalized. I for one would not be surprised to see a lot of LSU penalties called Saturday night on LSU that will be legit. Problem is every LSU fan will think its rigged.

Then combine the "no calls" against legit Bama penalties and that is how the scales are tipped.

Last yr both teams were undefeated so they let them play. This year, the SEC could end up out of the BCS championship game if LSU loses. I expect a screw job similar to 2010 if it comes down to it. Oh, and as always, Bama will not be called for holding.

While I agree, I can just hear it now. "When Shepard had that long TD run, they called it back because of holding. Wonder how much Mal Moore paid for that holding?"
