Is this really a question. Saban is without a doubt the best coach in college football hands down. Last year in the BCSNC he showed everyone what he can do when given a month to prepare and then reiterated it last night.

All the experts say LSU has talent as good as Bama, so I would trade Saban for Miles any day of the week and twice on Saturday's.

To answer you question directly - Yes I believe he could beat Bama if he was coaching LSU with the talent we have. And I believe less juniors would leave early.

bullshite! We will have our fare share of victories against the Tide. I hope you people don't throw in the towel in life as fast as you do on our football team!

Very true. I'll stay miserable losing 3 games, including one to Clemson, not winning another NC, and you can be happy.

With Bama having a great chance to threepeat, if they do, they would be one play against Florida from winning it 5 out of 6 years

Well, no one is agonizing over winning the peach bowl.

Difference is that you have some ridiculous opinion that lsu can't get back to a more successful level.
I'm not "satisfied" with losing a chick fil a bowl. I'm also not running around with my hair on fire and worshiping rival teams either like many in this pathetic fanbase are doing.

Stop it. This is what is so infuriating about some of you Miles sunshine pumpers. Les Miles does not = LSU football. He is the head coach, and as such is only one piece of the football team. Criticism of him does not automatically equal criticism of the football team.

Not with this offensive line. In all the X's and O's of football, the great Vince Lombardi narrowed it down to the 2 key fundamentals. blocking and tackling. The team who better performs these 2 tasks during a game will determine the winner or loser. Obviously there is an emotional component as well. However, football is not rocket science. LSU lost their games this year because the other teams blocked and tackled better in key game situations. I don't go to practices but I'm certain we don't coach our kids to poorly tackle and block. When it's game time, it's all up to them.

I doubt it.

Saban is 2-2 versus Miles the last two years anyway. LSU lost a lot of players this season, and I really don't see Bama winning had LSU not lost anyone and Bama had lost, say, Milliner, Jones, and Lacy.

And honestly, Miles dictated the pace of the Bama game this year. His gambles didn't work, but I think he took it to Bama in a way that a Saban-coached LSU team never would have. We would have lost conservatively and without controversy. The only way LSU could beat Bama this year was by taking those gambles, and I don't think Saban would do that.

Come on now, does it really matter? What good can possibly come of asking this question?
Bama might win another next year, but it may be alot tougher when the Playoff format kicks in. For the second game ( assuming they have a month to prepare and win the first) they will be doing something they rarely have to do: Play back to back tough opponents. Look what happened THIS year, they lost to A&M. They will never be scheduled like that again in the SEC, so it will be new to them in the Playoff format.
