Could Lowell Narcisse redshirt and play running back?

ADMINS move to recruiting board if necessary, but this topic is about a current LSU signee, and the outlook of the 2018 running backs.
All I saw him do the first 5 minutes of his highlight tape was run HAM on the defense. He looks very natural running the football with great bursts of speed and quickness, he has acceptional toughness (he wasn't really looking for anyone to run over) and outstanding balance on his toes. If he can redshirt, and become 100% healthy, I'd love to see Narcisse and Clyde Edwards-Helaire 1-2 punch out of the backfield. There are very few running backs for the 2018 recruiting cycle, unless I'm not looking hard enough. What else is LSU going to do?

It usually helps to have knee ligaments to play RB

RB is probably THE easiest position to come in as a True Freshman and make an immediate impact. LSU will sign someone next season. Brossette will still be here.
People are freaking out because they don't see the next Fournette or Guice on the roster. Well, those are arguably two of the best RB's to ever play for LSU (if Guice performs as we think he will next season). It's hard to replace those kind of players, even if LSU has signed more than one RB this class. You also have to remember that LSU had some really good season with just "solid" RBs like Hester and Ridley. They weren't game changers like Fournette/Guice/Hill, but they were more than serviceable enough. Finally, this is no longer Les Miles' offense where you need an all-world RB to be able to have success against 8-9 man fronts. Canada will adapt to his personnel.
Running back is the LAST position I worry about. Guys who can get the job done there are much easier to find than say top flight linemen or QBs.

Don't rule this guy out for starting qb. He has Newton and Tebow size and running ability.

His natural position is a QB - anything else would be to salvage the schollie. I think he would make a serviceable WR/TE hybrid (or maybe an H-back), but that would be a waste. Kid has a great arm and good head for football. He's too big to play safety.
He's a QB - let's see how it goes.

Are you suggesting he not to play in games but do running back stuff in practice?
Or sit out a year and then play running back?
redshirt, by definition, does mean that you are not playing significantly.

If anyone is on psychotropic medication they should stay away from this site and a key board... Thank you !

Agree. Put top flight linemen in the mix and even Trent Richardson looks great.
