Could Ducre play MLB?

I understand how highly ranked Ducre was as a fullback. However, it seems like he has the size and speed to fit the Mike position well. I see him sitting for another year or two behind current RBs and is also behind depth chart at FB. Obviously, we have a need for LBs next year. Thoughts? Or just down votes, lol.

Making the switch to defense isn't as easy as you think, especially for the MLB who has to make sure everyone is lined up and knows the play. Way too much to put on the kid's plate.
Also we haven't seen yet what kind of impact he can make in the backfield. Don't forget Hester, Ridley, and Hilliard all played some fullback at LSU.

I agree that making the switch would be a huge transition. If Beckwith cashes out to NFL that leaves us with Duke or Ronnie at MLB I'm assuming. Or a true freshman which would be hard to do.

My only issue is at what point will Ducre get playing time at RB or FB? Everything you hear is that he is a monster, but when with in the next couple of years could he possibly get playing time at either position? Personally I look for him to be moved to LB.

why not punter? have you seen those tree trunks he has for legs, I bet he could boot it 60 yards. obviously we have a need for a punter this year and next.

Me too. I joke around about it a lot, but if he's wasted at Fullback at LSU I will be disappointed.
