Not sure if people were aware of this, but I count 12 ex-LSU players on the team!

On the offensive side:

RB Kenny Hilliard
RB Terrence Magee
TE Colin Jeter
G Jonah Austin

On the defensive side:

DE Deondre Clark
DE Sam Montgomery
DT Greg Gilmore
LB Donnie Alexander
DB Dwayne Thomas

Special Teams:

P Josh Jasper
P Brad Wing

And the most entertaining option of all

ZACH frickING METTENBERGER as their starting QB (assuming he beats out Christian Hackenberg, Troy's ex-QB and some jackass from Tennessee-Martin, which he fricking better)

Play for the AAFL starts in February once the NFL ends, so this will be a nice consolation to watch some old Tigers play for Memphis!

Prime example of a 5-star riding high school hype all the way to being a high draft pick. HE was awful at PSU.

Scotlandville’s very own, Dallas Thomas is also on this team. Great OL that played his ball in Knoxville at UT.

I'm not trying to sound like a smart arse or a-hole but those teams are region aligned. You will only see the LSU player there. It's kind of strange but that is 100% a development league. There are deff more LSU players since the last time I looked at their roster. Should be fun to watch being it's basically decent College athletes that have and some time in Big League training

How could a punter that was so dominant in college already be out of the NFL? He’s really young too. Was he that ineffective?

He had a bad year in 2017 but it’s surprising no one picked him up.

Giants decided to cut salary at the position. Wing should probably have an NFL job based on merit, but when you can have a guy just as good at 600K vs 2.2 million, it’s tough to keep your job if you don’t perform well above average. He was pretty average last year. He probably will latch on somewhere at league minimum in the next couple of years.

LOL.. what "merit".. Giants were last in the league last year in net punt yards and last in punts downed inside the 20

That is awesome. I didn't know the rosters were going to be regional. I just learned through a little research that each AAF team has the rights to 13 universities. Memphis includes LSU. Birmingham includes Alabama and Auburn. So right off the bat, I have a favorite team and a despised team.

And even more of a reason to hate Birmingham, Blake Sims and Trent Richardson are on the team...

And apparently Memphis also has the rights to any Saints rejects who played college at an unaffiliated college. Geaux Express!
