Is Nick Coomes considered a player/coach? He sure does spend a lot of time coaching 1st base. Anyone know the story behind this?

Players complained that Ochinko was going to 3rd base on anyone that got on base.

We have such a good hitting catcher we don't need him as a player anymore.
