You're probably right. It's been nice to have a cornerstone 3B after the cluster frick that was 2010 and 2011.

Why do y'all think Ibarra won't hit
I know he's off to a slow start, but he was reliable all last season until CWS

He only has the 2 hits in the first 4 games. He needs to be benched

I'm disappointed the Hale storm gif I posted in the game thread isn't picking up any steam.

You need someone to add him flying across the sky or something

He shouldn't be clean up though.

With this LSU team power isn't necessarily a prerequisite for hitting cleanup. You simply want someone in that spot other teams will have to respect in order to protect Bregman and allow him to see some good pitches.

There isn't a great deal of power on this team. Better to have a dependable hitter in the 4 hole than a power man who may not put the play in play when needed.

I think most people like myself am just disappointed with the way he's looked at the plate the first few games. He should improve, but I think most were expecting him to protect bregman this year.

I understand that. I never said he needs to be benched now, I only commented about a possible change if he continued to struggle at which point it was noted that he still probably would not be benched due to his glove with which I tend to agree.

Hale to first base roberson to 2nd. I give it 2 weeks before it happens. Matter of fact 1 loss and paul will make changes. thats a given

It was in my mind all last year that if Ibarra stayed for this year, he would be clean up man.

He is a semi power hitter and pretty reliable
