for this game. The option worked very well, but one wonders what happened to AJ's "dual threat" capabilities during the 'Bama and Arky games. For example, why did he not run on 4th and 10 instead of throwing into double coverage. MSU for that matter as well, but never mind.

I still see no reason that AH is able to provide the passing game needed to balance a very good ground game. He completed a few passes against a bad secondary, but often looked bad and out of his element. Unless Miles can get a productive passing game LSU can expect to play 2nd, 3rd or even 4th fiddle in the SEC west. Let us be honest, if LSU cannot beat 'Bama, they are going nowhere so far as any kind of championship is concerned.

Why BH saw no snaps after Auburn we will likely never know, but I will wonder if that decision will end up holding him back. I shudder to think that LM has settled on AJ as the starter for next year. If so, LSU will not likely finish better than 3rd in the West.

Will LSU have yet another year with only 1/2 an offense? Stay tuned...

AJs scrambling ability is what kept us in the game vs Alabama

The only thing "new" that we ran was the end around sweep with Dural. We've run the read option all year, Jennings just has not kept it much. Aggie linebackers were crashing inside to help their DL that was getting beat leaving plenty of room outside for jennings to run. I'm sure it was something they saw on tape and made jennings aware of though. Other than that, this wasn't some revamped offense.

Right. Trying to keep things as positive as possible. AJ has not run so effectively all year.

This was a positive. If he is going to be our QB going forward, I like the idea of running some designed runs with him early and try to get him some confidence. He seems to gain some confidence after some of those big runs, and I would like to see how that translates to the passing game.

Congratulating one of the highest paid coaching staffs on making minor adjustments several games too late really is dumb.
