Congrats guys, you definitely had a better team than us this year. I can only wonder what would have happened if we were a national seed and didn't have to face you guys this early. Probably would have gone to Omaha, but our team isn't talented enough this year. Coleman did what he had to do, wasn't insanely on the money, but he worked us and won the game nonetheless. I'm looking for y'all to win it this year, as long as Ranaudo and Coleman are on the money, I don't see you guys losing. Rebuilding years suck, but we'll be back next year, as the draft won't hit us nearly as hard as last year. Again, congratulations.

If this is a rebuilding year for Rice, then, I'll be worried about facing you next year.

What a great Baseball Program you have going there at Rice University.

Classy post!

See you next year for sure. I would not have wanted to face your team in an elimination game tomorrow. Geaux Tigers!

It was more of a reloading year, not to make anyone feel sorry for us. We just got snakebit with one of our freshmen pitchers needing Tommy John surgery before the season, then Berry and Ojala being out for six weeks. Both of those guys never had one of their "vintage" games after their injuries, and just didn't really impress me going into the regionals. We also need some guys in the bullpen to show up, as well as our starters to go 7+ innings like y'alls do. That's where you guys are better IMO. You have two excellent starters that are different in their pitching styles, but that can go 6-7 innings, then you have a setup man, and then (at least from today's performance) a lockdown closer in Ott. We just couldn't really count on having Berry or Ojala go for so long, and then our bullpen chumps all have location or mental issues haha.

Good luck on Friday/Saturday, and beat the f*ck out of Ole Miss/UVa (I can understand why y'all hate those Rebel fans; what the hell has Ole Miss ever done athletically?) and especially CSF.

I totally agree you guys got shafted on not getting a national seed. I did think that whichever team that got out of this would be much better as a result

Coulda been a different game if Rendon hadn't have gotten injured. Anyway, y'all got a scary good offense, best of luck to Rice next year.
